My first time in Jordan-Hare Stadium

And we won, I saw it all from section 62. The tailgating went great, I met up with an LSU group with a giant flagpole, who may or may not post here. Thank you if you do. Separately in the same lot, we also saw chicken bingo, and I'm dead serious, they released a live chicken in a cage, and people placed bets on which number it would take a shite on. They also had a cool bus there, which was filled with names all over, and I signed mine.
Auburn's site said I could bring in an empty water bottle, but then the guy at security told me I couldn't for some reason, maybe because I was wearing purple? Who knows, but on principle, I snuck it in at a different gate. Then I went to the wrong section, because Auburn didn't label it very well, but after getting kicked out of my original seat, I made it eventually. A couple of LSU fans sitting next to me made the same mistake. I got to see the eagle flying around the stadium, which is admittedly very cool.
Then we all saw the game, and the mass exodus started on our final drive, especially after the final 1st down. I don't know if Auburn's traffic is much better than ours, it was still backed up for a while after I got back to my car. But I had a good time.

I bet watching that last interception live felt fricking amazing

It absolutely did. The giant scoreboard was useful when they were on the other end of the field, it was much easier to just watch that from the upper deck.

I was afraid the zebras were going to say that the receiver was down before the ball was out and screw LSU like they have in years past.

Agreed, the eagle flying around the stadium was one of the coolest things I have seen at a football game! I’m glad you got to see a great victory…I was not so lucky the last time I was there. I found their fans very nice overall.

That INT was badass live.
Watching the home team leave the field all sad while we watch our boys take a road win is always a great feeling.
Also props to auburns fans. They stayed the whole time and were fully engaged, especially the students

There’s a place in Slidell that used to do this. Not sure if it’s still there

Yeah, Auburn fans seem pretty cool. None of them got mad at me when I was doing the 1st down cheer or anything, it probably helped that I was quiet unless we made a big play.

I agree with this as well. Auburn fans were cool. I connected wit many of them by simply saying frick bama and then we instantly became friends

Walking back to my car after the game, I heard some Auburn fans talking about if they'd rather Georgia or Bama be #1. One of them said "Anyone but Bama", I said "Same", and we pretty much became best friends right there.

Great experience with my son yesterday as well. The eagle flight was cool, and the video board is a great amenity for their fans. The 4th quarter light show they do with the fireworks was also pretty cool. We were in section 37 right above the LSU locker room. The kids we were with were able to get some towels and wristbands as souvenirs from the players. The Auburn fans were all very welcoming as well. Definitely recommend the trip for anyone thinking of going next time.

Salt Bayou Bar had a chicken drop every week. It drew a pretty good crowd.

I think Katrina took the Chicken Drop out. It was about 2 miles from my house (at that time—we sold in April of 2005)as a crow flies. And my former house went completely under water and is now part of a WMA.
It was a very unique bar.

Had a blast myself. Sat in section 35 right beside the band. It was mob deep with LSU fans. One of my fav road games ever.
We stayed in Peachtree city Georgia not far from atl airport. Went to Braves/Mets on Friday and it was a great game even though I’m not a big fan of either team. The drive to auburn was a little over an hour. Cool college town with friendly fans for the most part. Highly recommend this road game to anyone considering it in the future. Tenn &arky were still my favorite but this one ranks right behind those.

If you have never made it to JH you should definitely make the trip. Great little town. We stayed a University RV Station about 3 miles away with a lot of great LSU and Auburn fans. If you have a RV I would highly recommend it. They have a shuttle to and from the game. They had a live band on Friday night. The environment in JH is great. The pre game is a little cheesy but the fans really get into it. They cheered hard for their team and treated us visitors great. I am happy we got out there with a win, no matter how ugly it was

Auburn pulled off the stripe effect pretty well, from what I saw. I wore purple to disrupt it as much as I could, but most people around me were wearing orange, like they were told to. And it looked pretty good across the stadium as well.
