I hope you are right. I understand he is only a freshman and no doubt in my mind he will get better over the offseason, but I think Poche will get better as well. Godfrey will have to get a heck of a lot better to just be better than Poche is right now.

Have you noticed something about his game? He doesn't finish seasons. He has great starts in his first two seasons and falls off a cliff towards the end of the year.

That's been the knock on Godfrey since his junior year of high school, but you're saying he's going to be better than Poche?

Zardon at DH

Outside of Lange, it's gonna be a battle for the pitching rotation. Hitting likely won't be as good as this year, but pitching will be better.

I'm hoping it all comes together in 2017 for the 7th title.

He will be a Sunday guy before a closer or reliever.

Is anyone else hoping to see Lange throw close to zero summer innings this year? I know I am.

I'm just hoping that Poche doesn't have the same fate as the last guy tadelatt projected to be our closer. Domangue pitched 2/3 innings before getting hurt and shut down for the season.

Don't count our Stallings. Went to school snd played on the same field. The doctors are letting him throw all his pitches next year. He was in same boat with Latz, they just let him play

Fraley moves to center without question. Poche stays a starter, and I would bet would stay Friday night starter, and competes with Latz for that for sure. If we can get some decent hitting going from all of the young guns, we will have the shored up pitching that was needed this year to solidify post season pitching strength.

Trey Dawson will have something to say. And Byrd over Jordan. Poche will never be a closer, he starts slow. That has disaster written all over it. I can see Godfrey bouncing back but I am curious to see McKay and Latz.

Did I miss something? Did Grayson Byrd transfer? Thought he would be a lock for one of middle infield spots.

I would also like to see Godfrey as a mid week starter. Let him load up on innings to figure out his control issues and don't pull him if he walks a few guys early.

eah, I might agree with you on this one. I hate guessing how CPM will move the OF around so I played it safe and kept Fraley in LF in case he doesn't get everyday PT. He still can't hit Lefties and that is a huge problem.

Wait... Are you implying you don't think Fraley will be an everyday starter? That's pretty laughable if so....

yea, Fraley should play CF and will hit in the middle of the order.

Also at least 1 of the Deldago JUCO guys will get first crack. Both probably.

Jordan wont play 2B over Byrd or any of the other true middle INF we have.

but i could see a Jordan DHing or playing a corner OF spot and leading off or hitting 2nd potentially.

Ah, at least Fraley is still holding it down out there.
