PMAC
Nanatorium
T&F
In that order.
I don’t understand the cries for renovations & upgrades to the Box. That’s the newest venue we have, it can take a backseat to these.

Tiger Stadium is ancient history. It’s not in great shape.
Says…who?
Many fans, structural engineers and architects.
And of course I’m speaking about the 68,000 seats Bowl.

The library is the biggest disgrace on campus. Assuming the state would at least help partially fund the construction/renovation of athletic buildings, I don't think any governor wants to fix those first before the library.

They've already started that process.

Bob Mann is that you?
But seriously, athletic venues & campus buildings don't come from the same funds. *Most* people know this already and should understand that. The library formerly known as Middleton has needed to be razed and rebuilt for as long as I can remember. The fact that several buildings have gone up around campus before this is really a disgrace and reflection of poor leadership.

I'd argue most voters don't.

The AC, now PMAC, was constructed by the state and state funds paid the bill. The university ran the AC, and the Ath Dept paid rent as did concert promoters and others that used the building. Of course the university also used it for “free” for graduation, etc.
Running the building is expensive. Utilities, maintenance, etc. cost money. Because of this the university decided to give the PMAC to the ath dept. That move saved the university money.
If the Ath Dept builds a new AC it would be with the help of TAF and would undoubtedly be their biggest project (money wise) ever.

100 % agree on the Natatorium. It’s terrible. It can’t be that expensive to build a new one.
Just finished building one for a much smaller school and it came in around $37 million. Ours would probably be more than that.

The PMAC renovation or replacement is too big for TAF per a conversation in the past with my TAF representative. It would have to be done with bonds unless some beneficent mega donor appears.

TAF had sold bonds before.
But it’s a huge undertaking even for them.

Hopefully not the same firms that did the south end zone expansion and redid the west upper with the shite pipe exposed.
HKS. No. LSU will never hire them again. They designed SoFi Stadium. So many problems..Another firm is fixing those problems.
HKS is losing staff.

I would not be posting this RFQ on a message board. I hope you don't work for those companies.
Glad to see Grace and Hebert lose out.

think that was a firm out of Dallas, the same one that the $60mil hs football stadium in Allen that had foundation problems so bad that it was unusable within one year of opening
HKS designed the Tiger Stadium south endzone expansion. They are headquartered in Dallas.
PBK Sports designed Allen ISD football stadium. PBK Sports is headquartered in Houston.
