Love that passion from Mulkey, also heartwarming to see Reese looking out for her.

I can only imagine how much of a disaster this board would be if Reese went after a ref like that and Mulkey was the one holding her back.

That's our coach. Love it she is fiery til the very end. Players should take note she doesn't slack, protecting her players and contesting bad referee calls til the very end. She had enough of that ref.

And that player who “hated her” while she was out on discipline, grabbed to protect her…

And showed great smarts and discipline in doing so. Angel was already in the bench. Kim started going off and Angel rushed over to her to try and hold her/calm her down (yes, it did look like she needed hands on restraint in the moment). When Kim remained heated and began entering ng further on the court, Angel made sure she stayed on the sideline and let the assistants and players who were on the court intervene. It was only once Kim was back by the sideline that Angel grabbed her again.

And then when Kim was leaving, Angel looked her in the eye and said “we got you”.

That, combined with her (compared to her earlier self) more subdued physical appearance leads me to believe that just maybe Kim Mulkey knew exactly what she was doing all along and everyone else just needed to chill out and let the process play out. Angel looks like she has found her groove again and is becoming a leader.

Doesn’t seem like a coach who sells out her players like the narratives we’ve seen spun.

Per CBS Sports:

Angel was holding back Mulkey. "It was precious," Mulkey said. "Angel was grabbing me and she yelled out, 'Kramer, come help me!' She was calling for my son in the stands to come get me."

Mulkey and her players were a lot more relaxed after the game and were able to laugh at the situation. Reese said, "Me and Coach Mulkey have similar personalities, and we really like to win no matter the score. Of course she's gonna fight for us, and we all fight for her. That moment we knew we had her back and she had our back."

So per the negative media and LSU haters, Mulkey is a racist, doesn't care about anyone but herself, doesn't support Angel or her players, and has a disaster in the locker room.

It's like a real life Hoosiers when the Hickory boys were playing on the opposing court and they get called for a foul. Norman Dale walks out on the court to protest, gets called for a technical and one of the opposing thugs pokes him in the chest for saying their players were playing like a bunch of gorillas. Then Rade, who was benched during the game for running his mouth, punches the thug in the face to defend his coach.

She learned from Leon Barmore how to use technical fouls/ ejections to her advantage. Motivate team, support/protect player, give top asst the opportunity to lead team, and to say fu to bad officiating. She's a Master of it all.

I love Kim ! She’s my coach and my kind of lady. If only we could have gotten her at LSU about 20 years ago.
