It’s amazing how quickly these threads turn into posters just listing the best players

CEH

It wasn’t until the Bama game that people here stopped bitching about him being the starter.

Surprised no one has mentioned Lewis Neal yet.

Was an undersized 500-ish ranked 3-star DLineman coming out of high school

Ended up with 108 tackles, 16 TFL, 11.5 sacks and a handful of batted passes his last 2 seasons here with 24 starts. He was worked really hard too. He was never flashy but just a consistent football player. He played 679 snaps his final year and 729 snaps the year before. That is a TON for a defensive lineman over 12 games each. He was almost playing every snap of a game in a lot of cases, hardly rotated out. nobody on the DL played more snaps than him in either of those seasons.

James Wright

Was drafted as a ST player, never really got his shot at WR.

Greg Gilmore, 7.5 sacks from the nose guard position in 2017. The most for a DT since Booger McFarland at LSU.

So good. And he and Honey Badger downing Wing’s punts inside the 5 was a huge weapon for us.
