the 2007 VT game was a nearly flawless game

I will have to think on the most satisfying, but this game was the most complete and total arse kicking I have ever seen a LSU football team deliver in my 42 years.

Honorable mention: 2001 LSU vs Auburn.

They beat us the year before and ran the score up on the final drive when all they needed to do was take a knee. This was at the height of the hatred for Tubberville.

Not to mention, LSU wins they go to their first ever SEC Champ game.

LSU vs Va Tech 2007. They beat us pretty soundly in 2002 at their place. We crushed their arse that night. Loved it. I knew after that game we had a shot at the NC.

I have three:

1) Peach Bowl '05 - 40-3 on Miami
2) '07 - 48-7 beatdown on VT
3) Not many people remember because of the subpar season, but in '09 we beat Auburn 31-7 and their only TD was on the last play of the game.

i have lots of aggy friends, so aTm cotton bowl is top 2 for sure.

we(LSU) fans have been so lucky in that weve had so much success, and so many good bowl matchups, lots of bowl beat downs, and many memorable games- and wins- from the last decade.

its funny, my aggy friends would easily say a NC win, but theyll never know that feeling.

2010 cotton bowl vs aggy
2005 peach bowl vs the U
2003 SEC championship vs UGA
2007 v-tech

soooo many games LSU played huge on the big stage. lots of great memories. these are the glory days.....

The one when we handed tOSU their collective asses in the title game was sweet too (especially after hearing how we didn't belong in the game).

It was 31-10, but otherwise you are correct.

I would have to see VA Tech in 07 or OSU in 08 for the Natty.

We came out of nowhere in 2003, but were favored in 2007 and finally got some credit after we whipped VA Tech.

All of these mentioned were great. Don't forget--basketball: the 40-point shellacking by the Tigers of the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington in the 80's; football--24-3 over 'Bama in the 2003 national championship season.

We completely dominated them. If not for that performance we probably don't play in BCSCG. I think Va. tech went on to win ACC but I could be mistaken.

I like the Peach vs Miami, the 03 SECCG vs UGA and the 2007 VTech nominations, but...

I remember at the time that '82 win vs Bama in Bear's last season was a VERY satisfying beat down. The score didn't exactly show how bad Bama was dominated, but I think even the Bear was quoted as saying it was the worst beating he could remember. It broke an 11 game losing streak to Alabama.
