Those 2 people are the epitome of what a fan of any team should be. In the worst days of the Smoke era they were there when few other 'fans' were. Cheering on as if were in the teeth of a super-regional. It reminds me of what an elderly man told me when I got up to leave during a Curly Hallman blowout, "if victory is a condition of your loyalty, than you aren't loyal".

I wince whenever I see the P&G Confederate flags, although I think 95% of the people wave them just to piss liberals off. I hate our southern ancestors and I'll be damned if I honor those bastards. They imported 1000 years of social problems to this country so they could get rich off cotton. We ought to burn down every ante-bellum mansion in the south.

Always get the "southern heritage" crew vs. the "flag symbolizes racism" crew and very little in between.

Well when I get to go to games (It is hard lately because of my work schedule and I don't want to expose my young kids to certain things) I rarley wear LSU gear or have anything LSU related on. When I was younger and got to travel to other stadiums I never had anything LSU on. For reasons stated above.

The flag thing doesn't have to pertain to anything one way or the other, but people like iggle gets butt hurt over it and I think it is funny. It isn't hurting anybody. What differnece does it make and if you are worried about what other people think then you should take a good look at your life.

If you are yelling at the elderly or young then someone needs to slap you in place. If you are destroying other people property or other such nonsense then someone needs to do something about it.

If you are doing something like carrying a confederate LSU flag or you are 40 something and have your face painted or wear a jersey, frick what anybody thinks about you. Do your thing. It's not me but ok. I just hate people that think they are the moral police.

I doubt that very seriously. Unless your last name is Manship or Pennington, you don't donate enough money to have that kind of clout. You may have to confinscate my foot from your arse first.

I am on your side. I am sorry you didn't catch the sarcasm. I wish the administration would come to their senses about it.

We have a purple and gold confederate flag .. it's on the ceiling above my son's bed ... he's 16, knows his history and thinks his flag is cool to have.

...and believe it or not, the coach made the comments before anyone posted about them on here and this is not a black hole, things are discussed other places besides TD!

And this fat, middle-aged LSU fan comes up to them and gets in their face, shouting about how the Pac-10 sucks, how Arizona didn't show up, how they all need to get the frick out of Baton ROuge, blahblahblah... and I mean SHOUTING. And this went on for like 2 minutes, he was just following these people who are ANCIENT, railing on them. And get this... the dude WAS NOT drunk.

Georgia game last year, some drunk a-hole was yelling at a Grandma wearing a Georgia visor about 2 sections away. The people around him kept telling him to stfu but he kept on and on cursing at her til he got ejected.

I am sec 213 and to the left of me (I am assuming 212) is 3 buddies probably close to 40 yrs. old who wear earrings, lsu jerseys tucked in their jeans and drop the f bomb every other word. They are the biggest douchebags I have ever seen. Last year Lee throws a pic (no surprise) and these 3 guys are booing which wasn't the issue. A man about 4 rows above them yells don't boo our players. So these trailer trash POS want to fight the man who has his children with him and wife. All the guy stated was "hey don't boo our players". They literally are in the aisle telling him to come down to fight. fricking embarassing. These 3 douches are an embarrasment to LSU.

Most Embarrassing LSU Fans

Other than people like that, I would say our intimidating fan base is what gives LSU home games the whole "Death Valley" reputation. Messing with elderly, disabled or children should never be accepted though. At least have the dignity to only harangue those that are able enough to defend themselves and say something back.

You are correct crow it doesn't have to. But the reality is that it does.

We live in a society and where common courtesy is slowly dying. And I'm not talking about political correctness. I'm talking about simple respect.

I can't agree with justifying pulling someone's chain just because I think that it's ridiculous that they be bothered by it.

I like to be right just as much as anyone, but too often, and I include myself in this...the need to be right takes precedence over doing what's right.

I was embarrassed by the 20 or so people pissing on the side of the Huey P. Long Field House before the Va Tech game. It's one of the oldest buildings on campus. I actually took pictures of several of them and was tempted to publicly shame them in some way, but I never did.

Why?? The flag isnt about hating people..its about our heritage...

ETA: Then in your opinion, we should change our name from "Tigers" since it was taken from a civil war unit??
