I expect many to say the Miss State game to start last season. But to me it is between Auburn last season or Kentucky this year. Both games we got completely manhandled and didn’t look like we even belonged on the same field. And those were decent but not great teams by any stretch.

Probably Miss State last year. After that game everyone knew true Ed O had arrived and the good times were over

UCLA was bad too. Basically killed any optimism about a 2021 turnaround.

alabama 2021, because we easily could have won and pissed away the game.

Yep - It's close but I'd have to say this one as well.

Do we, as lsu fans, have to stay depressed? Is that a condition of fan hood? Why are we always so negative?

And the answer is this year’s Alabama or auburn game. We should have, could have won both.

Auburn last season was bad. Kentucky was bad this year too. Ole Miss wasn’t fun either. The other losses were competitive for the most part.

No loss is good but the closest thing to a moral victory these two seasons was Bama this season.

There were too many bad losses which led to the firing of coach O. The departure of Dave Aranda and Ensminger were two of biggest losses.

Mizzou 2020.

Losing Miles sent the program downward that day. The dirty hits and the fact that it should have been a home game all come into play.

UCLA for sure.

I spent the off-season writing off the Covid year as an anomaly and hoping we’d be back to normal. That was basically the Wisconsin game at lambeau a few years ago for miles.

Probably the Ole Miss loss. It was an incredible atmosphere up in Oxford, and LSU looked like garbage, and got smoked.

Easily UCLA

2020 was a waste of a season due to Covid bs so I wasn’t really that upset at any of the losses.

UCLA was such a bs loss I was pretty hyped up for this season and it all went away

Sissy Blue! Mainly because we discovered we were in for another long season.

Miss State and UCLA were very similar. Always a kick to the d*** losing the season opener. Mizzou was pretty bad last year as well.

Outside of UCLA, Auburn was this years worst. After that, I was numb to all losses because writing was on the wall.

This!

The 2020 season sucked. But, because LSU was coming off such a tremendous season the year before and everything was so different because of the panicdemic, I was willing to give Orgeron a mulligan. Particularly, because LSU finished the season with a bit of momentum. Two wins; a top 3 recruiting class; multiple key players returning. I was bullish on LSU. I thought with the returning production and the way the schedule set up that a 10-2 season was not an unreasonable expectation. Then....

...the UCLA game happened and it was basically Wisconsin 2016 all over again. Eight months of offseason promises and optimism proved to be nothing buy empty talk as LSU looked no different than they had looked in 2020. At that point you knew the longer LSU hung on to Orgeron the more time they were going to waste. Just like with Miles in 2016. That game was the confirmation that the Orgeron era was unofficially over. It was just a matter of when the formal decision to end it would be made.

Myles.

I sat here for a few seconds trying to figure out how losing Les Miles in 2016 was still relevant in 2020.
