For whatever reason, Miles is determined to have Harris as the starter, especially if riding the pine hurts his feelings
based on what? should jennings have started last year? i mean he benched Harris in game 2 of his 2nd year as starter...

The optics look bad but whatever. I'm not BH so I don't know what was behind his actions. As for DE, he looked much more comfortable at QB imo. I feel BH catches some flak for his performances, but to be fair, he is a round peg in a square hole. Either build the offense around him (where I feel he would be VERY successful) running the spread, or start a QB that can handle a pro style offense. FWIW, I believe Les will start and stick with BH. It's his MO. Les can be an arrogant, hard headed dipshit to the point of surpassing being moronic, but I can't hold that against BH. Besides, I don't boo college kids. frick people that do.

Good to hear.

You've said a lot more than the comments you've just displayed.
I cherry-picked my worst ones. I said the film of Harris that showed he wasn't as bad as it seemed should put to rest the talk of Etling. I said quite a bit just generically about the backup at LSU having never been the savior before so I didn't know what would change now. I said a shite ton defending Harris from baseless criticism.
I'll do the same for Etling. It just chaps my arse that people seem to have such a hard time discussing them independently.

I feel sorry for BH, but that looked bad for a team leader.

So the play calling went back to shite. The execution was just as bad. We had two turnovers. All against an FCS school. No boos because we were winning? I'll keep that in mind next time the boo birds rain down.

Why do we have to take it a step further and say Etling is a better leader than Harris? What good does that kind of comment do?
It's an observation like every other post on this board. Body language is a huge thing. It can't tell everything, but it tells a lot. Harris running off the field without his team pretty much confirms those suspicions

If you think the fans were booing BH you're crazy. It was all directed at Miles
They applauded Etling coming in and Harris taking a seat. I thought they were upset with the play calls?

When in the hell has the rant ever discussed anything independently. They have their minds made up.
I had one guy say last night stats don't matter.
Then one guy said it was all BH fault and not the play calling.

The fans wanted to see some type of change...something saying I am going to try something different

I mean even it it's true though, and Harris is a shite leader, why does he have to be brought up every time Etling is discussed?
I've discussed Etling all day in a pretty tame thread on his second half performance. I don't recall much coming up about Harris. It was nice.
There is a significant difference between saying "Etling looks like he's a great leader" and "Etling is a better leader than Harris".
I don't see the good in the second statement. I won't do it. If it makes me self righteous, so be it.

Etling showed qualities of a leader. I wasnt comparing the 2 as much as I was using what he did as an example
Posted on 9/12/16 at 7:31 pm to slackster
Spot on slackster.
People would rather tear BH down and lift Etling up.
Glad the coaching staff isn't as willing as the fans are.

Fair enough. We went right back to the status quo in the second half and the OL and WRs were simply not good at all. I believe the boos were held because it was a new QB and the fans didn't want to rattle him after his solid 2nd quarter, but the reasons to boo were all evident for the last 30 minutes.
