More single back formations coming?

Anybody seen more single back formations in practice rather than I formation this spring? I find it pretty appealing to think of Leslie (if he qualifies) and Dural on the outside with OBJ and JL in the slots. It would spread the lanes out for hill and blue.

If we have a TE that can block as well as Copeland....then yes.

Considering TE very rarely Lead block this seems unnecessary.

It's more about the players on the field and being able to change in and out of formations without subbing a WR for a FB. Without Copeland in the game we'll more than likely see some sort of a Nickel look. If Dickson can be motioned around and block then we will see more 1 back formations.

Considering OP listed 4 WRs and single RB, leaving no TE or FB on the field.

Slot regularly went in short motion to the end of LOS to block last year, virtually becoming a TE.

I read the OP, I just think it's more feasible to have a TE somewhere on the field. I love it when teams split them out wide and have the #1 in the slot forcing them to take a LB way out of the box or a Safety. No D wants a safety or LB covering a number 1, or a CB on a big bodied TE. Unless it's LSU or Bama with monster CB's.

For maximum trolling, single back set with Copeland in the backfield.

If they ever did do that I'd feel sorry for the first guy to try and tackle him if he hits a hole
