yes, more pressure on the admin and fans than on Fisher. When he keeps them as a mid tier SEC west team that school is really going to look even more like dumbasses.

Orgeron. Fisher getting 1st year pass

His contract is fully guaranteed. Aggy gave him a 10 year pass.

Paid $75 million, better beat a perceived shrimp boat captain.

I think Fisher gets a little leeway for his 1st season, but dropping to 7-5 with a loss is even or worse than anything they got with Sumlin so with all of the hype and money the pressure will accelerate quickly.
I think many in this thread are only looking at it from the aspect of contracts, pay, and firings.

I see it differently.

The last home game of the year sets the tone for your bowl game practices (which happens during a contact period for recruiting and now the 1st signing period).

This is TAMU's last home game, with recruiting visiting, against a recruiting competitor who raids their home state regularly, whom they haven't beat since joining the conference with a coach whom we publicly chased.

Not to mention, they are going to a crappy bowl game; even crappier if they lose to us. This game sets the whole tone for their recruiting for the rest of the year.

Add to that the negative recruiting both Jimbo and Brewer have/will do. It loses potency with another loss to us. The theme was a real coach is in town in College Station now (one who didn't choose us); if the results for that coach are more in the same, then his offseason job just got a lot tougher.

I mean O’s team has way much more on the line: 10 wins, ny6, slimmest of chances at the playoffs

Jimbo has a chance to get a huge win over a team that’s had their number and build big recruiting momentum heading into bowl season. He was on staff when we beat Tennessee in 2000, and saw what that did for the program. I’m sure he’d like to say they beat a top 10 team in year 1 and not say Kentucky was their signature win.

There’s always pressure in cfb

A loss for either school is going to look bad though.

For aTm finishing 7-5 with a loss to LSU, on aTm's own home field, with a $75 mill coach is going to look like shite. Don't know how much that really bothers Fisher though considering what he is getting paid.

A loss for LSU will put them at 9-3 which would be a bummer and a big let down considering how good this season is going. To have the opportunity to finish 11-2 with a major bowl win in just his second season would get a lot of the heat off Orgeron and be a feather in his cap.

Only to ranttards and O pumpers desperate to trash Fisher and Herman. Normal people (and even most Aggies ) realize it’s year 1 and given 3 of the 5 loses in that scenario would be to teams ranked 1,2 and 7 it’s no big deal considering he has a top 3 class coming in and had a roster designed for a total different offense and holes like no TE or FB.

Next year they play Alabama at home but Clemson, UGA and LSU on the road so it will be tough get out with less than 3 losses again

Fisher, without a doubt.

For $75 million where was TAMU supposed to finish in the SECW this year?

I would normally say Fisher because of the boatload of money he is getting paid, but let's face it, LSU fans have way higher expectations than aTm fans and are much more passionate (or insane, however you like to word it). O has done a good job this year and LSU has done really well, but losing to aTm in year 1 with Jimbo and erasing any chances of a Sugar Bowl appearance would not sit well with LSU fans who already sat through a 29-0 shutout at home to Bama.

It’s a must win for O. Losing to the Aggies would be a swift kick to the nuts considering everything that is on the line. Number #7 vs a team that isn’t ranked, the Jimbo drama, recruiting, a NY6 bowl, and a 10 win season. O definitely has more pressure.

Ed O does not have a $75,000,000 contract.

I doubt Fisher can turn in a 7 and 5 season worse than Kevin Sumlin 8 and 4. While getting paid $7.5 million.

I know a bunch of haters on this board think it is on Orgeron. And I am sure Coach O fills that pressure.

I do not understand the point spread. But Vegas had the Florida game right and I thought that line was off.

I certainly expect LSU to win.

One doesn’t have to be a hater to understand that this game is more important for O to win than Jimbo. LSU has a lot more on the line with this game. Hell there is even a very small possibility that LSU can sneak into the playoff with a win.

Like the poster above said; next year A&M has Bama at home and LSU, Georgia and Clemson on the road. They probably slip up in one other game and now they are looking at consecutive 7-5 seasons out of the gate. Not very reassuring with Texas now back in a recruiting groove in state

If LSU loses, we still go to at least the Peach Bowl. Next year we have probably 16 starters returning including a senior QB and some talent coming in at RB. Bama on the road, but we get Florida, Auburn and A&M at home

All that said; LSU wins by 10

From a winning standpoint I agree. But from a losing standpoint it is Fisher. The big contract and having basically a Sumlin type year.

I've seen most of the fans already point out that they don't give a shite about Jimbo's record this year. They just want to go to a bowl and finish high in recruiting this year.

O on the other hand is ranked in the top 10 and has big postseason implications. This one is a no brainer.

More pressure on Jimbo. Eaux already exceeded expectations weeks ago.

Jimbo Fisher

Texas A&M actually demands excellence. At LSU you can be mediocre and loved as long as you're a 'swell guy' or 'one of us'.
