More excited for mettenberger or burrow?

Mett was our savior after the JJ years. Lit it up in juco. ObJ, juice. Loaded defense. Thought for sure he was gonna take us to the promised land. I personally was more hyped for mett.
Not bashing burrow at all. Think the kid is gonna light it up.

I can vividly remember when Harris came in for the first time vs Wisconsin, I was thinking "here we go, this guy is fixing to set college football on fire."

For me it was when Brandon had 200 yds in the first half vs Florida in 15.

Mettsiah was a bigger deal. Everyone was way more on the bandwaggon and believed he was the only issue with the team. People thought Mett would make us a National Champ, think people are a bit more realistic this time.

Good question I can’t really remember how excited I was about Mett but I think we need Burrow more now than we needed Mett then

I was the opposite I thought Jennings was gonna tear it up.
I never thought Harris had it, and after the Auburn game that year I never wanted to see him in there again.

Burrow for me bc of his competitiveness. Mett was a gamer but he was also more about having fun and not focused or driven to win.

We just didn’t have the defense in 2013. All the other pieces were there.

The rest of QB room was far less talented in 2012. The current group has more potential whether Burrow starts now or not.

I’m as high on Burrow as anyone, but I agree with this.
Mett had some work under Richt, and most importantly had already tore it up at the college level, albeit JUCO.
But this was right after Cam Newton and it really felt like he was the missing piece.
Before Mathieu was suspended I had no doubt we were about to run the table again and avenge 1/9.
Plus, we know he’s a statue now but that naked bootleg in the OM mercy knee game had me thinking he had a cannon AND could move
I think Burrow is going to be a great player and he took us from a middle of the pack team to a serious challenger in the Wear, but Mett had me thinking NC.
I’m not there with Burrow, yet.
