Do you think someone like Luke Fickell would find LSU or USC to be the more desirable landing spot?

This is what it’s all going to come down to.

USC. He won’t have to contend with Rantards at USC.

USC is an either path. It’s a matter of whether the coach wants the grind of the SEC or not.

If you are a more west coast type of coach, USC. Southern roots LSU no brainer

Every major program fan base has those. The people you really don’t wanna deal with are the rich fricks who try to pull the strings.

Depends on whether living in L.A. or B.R. means anything to you?

Both are outstanding gigs. But LSU and the SEC is the better job right now and one of the reasons, USC is having trouble finding a coach.

Most of the big boys believe the LSU job is going to be available and maybe even during the season.
None of their agents are going to allow them to jump too soon, if LSu does come open. And so far they are right with this last debacle Saturday night, where LSU was completely outcoached.

BS! LSU all the way.

We have won 2 of the last 3 championships IN SPITE OF OUR HC, and not because of them.

If Les and O can win a championship here, imagine what a coach with a PLAN TO UTILIZE THE STUPID ANOUNT OF TALENT WE WASTE could do.

Prior to 2012 UsC but definitely lsu now

USC entire admin is more of a shitshow than lsu and that's saying something.

Those with P&G glasses will not participate rationally in this question.
It’s actually apples and oranges.
But, make no mistake. SC is full of irrational fans making unreasonable demands. Many of them have lots of money and expect to be heard.
Neither is an easy job, nor should they be.

There are serious pros and cons to both. They're both elite programs with massive upside but way more instability and uncertainty than other big names. You can certainly win but you can also have your reputation ruined for the rest of your career.

It attracts different personalities. Idk since USC opened up I felt they'd get someone like Franklin who I just do not see going to the SEC West.

I believe LSU is the better job, although being in the SEC does mean something and he would have it easier at USC, outsider of their boosters and AD. I think Fickell chooses USC over LSU if it comes down to it this off-season.

USC. Easier route to the CFP, nicer weather and you don't have to hear the song Bip Omp from Laquiziana at every kickoff.

USC is attractive for sure but it comes down to cultural flavor.

The two areas couldn’t be more different after all

Both have strong recruiting base.
USC has to share with UCLA, cal, and Stanford but
There’s a ton of talent in California so there’s enough to go around.

Both schools have a strong football pedigree.

I think LSU has more money through TAF but not certain where that stands today.

Again, it comes down to cultural fit.
