Moffitt instilled a toughness in the linemen that is lacking. Running game proves it.

So explain why this talented O-line cant open roads for the rb's. Davis and Wilson are both top position coaches at OL and RB. Being physical and dominating the opponent across from you is also a mindset, and past athletes at LSU knew that Moffitt's S&C program won NC's. That if you put in the off season work he tailored for each athlete, you weren't going to be bested physically by your opponent.
Being physical all game and wearing down your opponent, so you can oppose your will in the 4th quarter isn't happening now days.
This team doesn't have the toughness to win in the trenches on a consistent basis for 4 quarters.

So why can we pass block with the best of them?

Neither did Moffitt’s teams from 2012-2018

Running the football has never been an issue for BK led teams. It was usually the passing game and having elite athletes on the perimeter..BK has his long time strength and conditioning coach on staff. This suggestion has little to no merit

I guess we’ll never beat A&M again. Elko was right.
Wonder why we don’t pay S&C coaches $10 million a year.

Slide that to 2013.
His last two OLs were two of the worst, least physical and most poorly conditioned at LSU since 1999. I know some of that falls on O, but a staff member cannot escape responsibility for his area of expertise. And Moffitt didn’t.

Yeah, Hill, Fournette, and Guice were just horrible during that time frame.

Our C is the problem. Good D Lines frick up the middle. Chester is not getting it done.
aTm has a great D Line
3 turnovers
3 special teams frickups
That’s 6 giveaway possessions.
The Moffit argument is silly.

Our lines got bullied like the last 8 years he was in BR.

We're talking about in the trenches right? How’d those guys do in Bama games?

The oline at lsu was a weak point for a lot of years when he was here. Very few nfl draft picks for the amount of time he was here.

Moffitt didnt recruit. Blame O for the talent. The Saban and Miles years at LSU look at the lines.

Poor schemes against the number 1 defense is his fault? Clown take.

It’s really a technique issue with the run game not strength issue. Our Oline doesn’t exactly fire off the ball and they are never the low man. Not sure if that is a product of scheme or a product of habit.
Also, Chester needs to improve at center because him getting pushed back even the slightest in the run game can kill a play and in the zone scheme if he is getting pushed backwards it takes away any cutback lanes for the RB. It’s why a lot of our successful runs have been outside the tackles.

Name the RB's BK and Flint have sent to the NFL vs those by LSU during Moffitt's tenure. Also at Cincinnati and ND, they never faced solId defenses every week like those that are in the SEC.

Another shite post from you, eh?

If you had ever actually played this n the OL or at least coached one (pee wee league don’t count) you’d know how stupid you statement and alleged reasoning are…
Great offensive linemen like Peterman, Andelsek, Whitworth, etc. and great OL units aren’t created in the damn weight room or the pharmacy! It starts with a mental toughness and mindset that can,
to an extent, can be learned on the practice field, but to truly excel comes from within the individual. I’ve heard from a number of coaches, from
Don Shows to Bear Bryant that described it as being about “want to”!
I agree that pass blocking right now sucks! However, it ain’t got very much, if anything to do with the strength and conditioning program. It’s about mental toughness and coaching!
But what do know, I just played and
Coached the position for
A decade and a half…
GEAUX TIGERS!!!

It’s not toughness but there is definitely a disconnect with the coordination of the run game out of the shotgun. The 2019 team suffered through it for 4-5 games until they figured it out, likely due to Joe Brady.
Coaches brought up under different eras do not fully understand how to run out of shotgun it seems.
