Our bodies are composed differently. An elite female athlete likely has more body fat than an elite male athlete of similar size.

Didn't your momma/girlfriend teach you that?

Dude, do you think she is made of marshmallows or something?

Being athletes they probably have similar fat/muscle distributions and with her weight that mass must come from somewhere. She is just as strong as a male athlete of similar size. That strength might be more in her lower body, but that is about it.

I'm all for her getting a fair tryout, but just as strong as a guy her size? That is ridiculous. So you think her and someone like Jarvis Landry are the same strength.

Read a book, dude. That's nonsense. She may be as strong as a 180lb average dude who doesn't workout (doubtful, though). She's not as strong as a male football player.

But I'm out of this discussion. You boys have at.

Definitely not true.

But I really DGAF so long as she can kick capably. And anyone who thinks a soccer goalie can't handle contact is an idiot.

jesus christ, no she's not. i don't know why so many people actually believe that. women, plain and simple, are not as strong as men, even if they are the same weight. list of players at the same size as her, and you say with s straight face she could outperform them in any strength exercise:

Jarvis Landry
Kadron Boone
Russell Shepard
Jalen Collins
Ronnie Vinson
etc

you're out of your mind

fify
PKs are hardly physical specimens in most cases and I think the whole size-strength-gonad thing is way overblown.
I dare say from the competitiveness she emulates in soccer and life, she would likely give a better tackling effort than 90% of the kickers I've seen over the years.
She's got more to prove than your average PK.

I think you should probably do some reading and take yourself out of the stone age. Her body is made up the same way as a male athlete. Her weight coming from fat and muscle. If she had a higher body fat percentage then sure, but she doesn't. If the guy had more muscle mass with the same fat he'd weigh more. This is not a man versus woman discussion. This is a man versus a woman of the same size with greater height and equal body fat. The only possible way she could be weaker is for her muscle mass to be distributed more toward her lower body which it is. That is the only difference. Unless you think women naturally have larger brains which take up part of their weight then I'd be inclined to agree with you judging by the intelligence level in this thread. But I'm out of this discussion. You sexists have at it.

Do you realize how bad guys of similar size would crush her in the weight room? This isnt sexist its just an absolute fact.

I'm saying a man with an equal body fat distribution. Not someone with more muscle and less fat. Someone equally fit who just happens to be a man. Everything being equal there strength would be the same. He'd probably bench more and she'd squat more.

I hope this is a joke? A 180 lb man that works out is gonna be stronger than 180 lb girl that works out. There may some exceptions but to think most 180 girls are as strong as 180 guy , and they are both athletes, is dumb.

So the guys on the football team that are of similar size with the same body fat % would squat less in your mind? There is no way. None

He doesn't know what he is talking about. A woman and a man , same weight , body fat, 9/10 the man will be stronger. It's just a fact bruh.

Absolutely. You are letting her sex cloud your judgement. Think of them as both guys. Oh, wait that is exactly what you should be doing. lol If the guy had more muscle he'd weigh more and yes be stronger. If she had less muscle she'd weigh less and yes be weaker. There is no magic girl organ that adds weight out of nowhere. Her girl muscles aren't made of weaker material than our boy muscles. lol Most guys on the team at her weight probably have a lot more muscle and less fat, but not the damn kickers.

First of all, 9/10? Why not 10/10? I'd love to hear an explanation of how this strength difference occurs and how exceptions manage to come about.

Second, it is pointless to argue with a sexist. It is just like talking with a racist. You have stereotyped views of men and women that you refuse to look past. It colors your thought process.

Either way Mo should definitely be on the team, will do just as well as the other kickers tackling if it came down to that, and is fantastic for LSU. With her and Brad Wing LSU would officially have the coolest kickers in college football.

Because there are exceptions to the rule.
Why in the hell does Olympic weight lifting have men and women if it doesn't matter with gender? It should just be weight! You're being stupid

Go talk to a dr about your theory. make it a female doctor. Maybe you will accept the answer if it comes from her. Why is the opposing view sexist?

I wouldn't think that's a good sign for her that her kicks don't reach the endzone. If I was trying out to be a kicker I know I'd try to put it out of the back of the endzone every time.
