She's my weight and taller than me...and I'm not a small dude. I'd be afraid to sex her.

2. Our kick-off game can only improve from last year. Were none of you frustrated by that phase of our special teams play last year? Or have you forgotten? I don't think any of our kickers could put the ball consistently inside the five. If she can consistently put the kick-off inside the five, with acceptable hang-time, keep her.
uh, do you really even know who Hairston is, and how much our kickoffs and kickoff coverage improved once his redshirt was pulled?

I think this is thing that most of these "real men" keep getting hung up on. They never got a chance to play college ball because they weren't good enough and it pisses them off that she might be.

BTW, I agree with almost everything else you said. The kickoffs got better when Hairston got the nod.

No. No she's not. But don't let that stop you from the point you're driving at.

Also, I'd be willing to bet that Isom can squat the same weight, or more, as the other two kickers.

Gfunktification@gmail.com. Name the amount of the wager. Hairston will destroy her on leg lifts in the weight room. Squats, hack-squats, etc. I will GLADLY take your money.

I was until Hairston had the redshirt taken off. He was extremely consistent for an 18 year old last year, & he'll do nothing but improve under Moffitt's direction in the weight room as well as his on-the-field coaching & development.

Couple that with the fact that KO's just moved up 5 yards to the advantage of the kickers, & while it makes it easier for an Isom type to compete, it still means that Hairston's more valuable.

You're also conveniently looking past the head-hunting we did in the latter part of the year once Landry rounded into form. Guys like him & Loston were destroying people on KO coverage.

Agree completely. I think its laughable how you propped up these points you make, but I agree.

She's like one of those big strong fillys that is capable of running with the colts. It doesn't happen too often but every once in a while it does happen.

Good thing you added "saturday" to that. Because what they played in the BCS championship game was far from american football.

soccer is a contact sport but football is a collision sport. We're still shaking our heads since January 9 and now this social experiment is a distraction from the much anticipated change at QB. We're Fluked!

I don't want to be argumentative, because I think we agree, but allow me to clarify my post.

I'm not arguing she should start over Hairston. And yes, I remember how kick-offs improved after his red-shirt was pulled.

But players get injured. If that happens next season, I would honestly (HONESTLY) like to have Isom available. I'm not saying she'd do a better job than Alleman, but I am saying she might. Numerous SEC teams keep three PKs on the roster. We have as good a reason as any to do the same.

If Isom is the best of the 7 kickers trying out for the walk-on spot, keep her.

As I said in some other thread about this:

I would love to see her out there JUST to make a tackle.

The catastrophic ego hit that guy would suffer would be fantastic!

I'm willing to admit you might be right on this. Still, I'd like to see how she stacks up in comparison. It might be closer than you think.
