Im skimming and trying to follow, think youre confusing yourselves a little, and in turn really confusing me. What im getting is - drafted high earlier, more bargaining power available with option to return to college, same team may not be able to pick you next year, can negotiate, makes alot of sense.. drafted senior year, no college eligibility left, less bargaining power, unless you drastically improved or remained awesome and did not get hurt/decline. I totally get what alot of you are saying about staying for the degree and experience, but financially and logistically its f'ing dumb not to go early with the right deal.

How is Deichman eligible? I though he was a true sophomore?

Somebody on another site mentioned that jake latz was draft eligible. Knock on wood that he's not. Really looking forward to having him and Lange at the top of the rotation next year.
Edit: Latz is not eligible.

Looks like a real solid position player class that should end up on campus. Really hope Hess comes for 2 years. Really feel pitchers that are draft eligible after two years can benefit a ton.

Jordan Romero-60% fighting with pap and Bryce for AB's as it is, won't change next year. Want back though.

Deichmann was really shaky at 3rd when he played this year so I doubt that our shortstop are options. Never seen him field in the outfield so not sure how that would go. Beau will be back in left and Antoine will move to center or stay in right leaving one outfield spot. Brennan breaux has a leg up to get the 3rd spot as of now, but summer and fall ball can change that.

Need to find a way to get Deichmann, Bryce Jordan, and Romero in the lineup for next year
Posted on 6/9/16 at 8:31 am to 9th Green At 9
To an extent I agree, but you will be sacrificing defense regardless. Possibly move freeman to 3rd and see if deichman can be serviceable at 2nd like Jared foster was last year. Like the way Reid is playing this year, but that is the only way I can see deichman/Romero/Bryce/Pap getting in the lineup together.

I think Mainieri has always said that if a guy gets drafted in the top 10 (May have been 6-7) rounds he expects them to leave.

Don't see how Reid sits with how well he has played. Plus you have to consider Wofford and Lochridge.
To me if Deichmann can play RF, that's the spot for him. Duplantis is absolutely our CF next season and Beau will stay in Left. Haven't seen enough from Breaux to pencil him in in the OF and what about Cody Ducote? He was supposed to be really good but injury hampered him this year.
The easiest way to get Romero, Deichmann and Bryce Jordan in the lineup if Freeman & Robertson both come back is to move Deichmann to that open OF spot. Have Bryce and Jordan battle for 1B job, then put loser at DH.

I hope these guys care more about winning at LSU than "stock" and "leverage".
Im about to get downvoted to eternity here. But the frick are you talking about? College baseball? We talking about college baseball? I love LSU baseball but come on, if you pass up money and a career to solidify your legacy as a player in arguably the least prestigious sport in the NCAA, you need to be tested for brain function deficiencies.
I think the 20 straight years of being the highest attended school has skewed this sport in the minds of some of you guys. College baseball literally only exists if you look directly at it.

It's clowns like you that give LSU fans a bad name. It's their lively hood and a ton of money they could lose out on if they don't consider leverage and stock. Take your fan goggles off for just a second and realize if that what your money wouldn't it play a big part in what you would do.
