Plus he was drafted by the Yankees. Just the name alone is a plus. They signed a ton of highschoolers so idk how this is going to work out with Hess, but would love if he made it to campus.

Come on, man. Yes, he's still undrafted, but the point is--the kid is talented and the fact that he HASN'T been picked is remarkable and only good news. Be. Happy.

Okay seriously at what point do we wonder wtf is going on with Hunter Newman? Sure his velo isn't super high but that curveball alone is enough to be a successful bullpen guy in the Majors.

Yeah definitely, I just didn't know if you knew it was from May 11th.
Since your post he has been drafted though. Hopefully the pull to LSU is strong enough to get him here.

Huge News as Jake Slaughter, Todd Peterson and Zack Hess have said they will be coming to LSU (i know Peterson wasn't drafted, but hess was in the 35th by the Yankees, and slaughter in the 36) they were considered pretty big toss ups before the draft. Happy to have them in Purple and Gold next year!

Zach von Rosenberg said the same along with every hs player ever drafted after the first round. One of these kids even says "most likely."
