LSU’s hitting with two outs has to be in the bottom third of the conference. They must improve in that department if they want to be contenders.

regardless, you take bases when they're given to you. It was a lazy pop fly into the gap. With Broussard's speed it is less likely he gets thrown out at 3rd tagging up than it is likely he scores from 2nd on a single. There's just no reason not to tag there. It was an extremely low risk play in that situation. And by being at 3rd, you can also score on a wild pitch.
