Yeah, I was screaming from the rooftops about a month ago that you can’t hide him on defense, and he’d have to eventually DH for the betterment of the team. But it was obvious to me Jay doesn’t like Merrifield, so he wasn’t gonna move Doughty to 3rd to keep Berry there as an option. And he has proven to be more than capable. I’ve been impressed and am really proud of his improvement there. That’s his spot till he leaves. And I think you see the confidence he’s gaining in the field translate to his hitting.
And THAT is why you lead Crews off. He’s gonna get pitched to at least once.
