gotta grind this guy a little more.
hard to do when he has to be 4 feet outside to throw a ball.

Kind of wish we would have worked the pitch count more that inning

This heavy dose of curve balls just has me expecting someone to sit on It first pitch.

Nice work, Armymann! A perfect 10 in my book.

quote:Meh he challenges tons of plays that could change the game, without hesitation. I don't hate it. I don't recall a game where we ended up being out of challenges when we needed one.
Not knocking the challenges but I would love to know Jays challenge success rate. It can’t be good lol.

Pitcher is a stud, but I’m hating our at bats right now. Everyone except Frey is sitting around watching strike 1 and 2 go by. Seems like he is pounding the zone. I get being patient, but jump on the first pitch if that’s the best one of the AB.

quote:Yeah anything close that could swing the momentum. Last night he challenged both Brown plays at the plate like as the call was being made.
Never seems to run out then need one. Seems like his strategy is just appeal everything close.

Hopefully we have some guys warming in the pen.
Eyanson’s velo was down a good bit, and the ump was squeezing the zone.
Gotta be ready for a quick hook in this inning if Eyanson can’t get back in command.

That wasn’t a timeout to give his pitcher time, he just wasted a challenge
No retard. It’s for rhythm

quote:this is classic Jay Johnson and always will be. He wants to run the starter and get after the bullpen. Best way to do that is to work the starter and make him throw a ton of pitches.
