It's a big deal but not a killer! We have three good backs left. If Blue comes back from his operation and plays like he was and if Hilliard rises to the challenge and returns to the glory of his freshman year and Magee takes advantage of his chance we will be fine.

I'm a lot more worried about the defense. Don't get me started on how thin we are there and how we will depend on so many unproven players.

Can someone fill me in. Is Hill definitely gone for next season?

When training camp opens up you look around and say these are the guys we got.If for whatever reason somebody couldn't make the cut you just move on because LSU and Tiger football is bigger than any one player. Some people just have to learn it the hard way.

Make no mistake...losing Hill is very big! but with Blue playing his last year....doesn't this make it more imperative to get the big running back from st. aug?

Loss is huge but if passing game improves significantly it will make up for losing him.

This is what separates the elite from the good and average. LSU can lose almost any player and not miss a beat.

The only exception to that is usually QB IMO. It's normally a struggle for any team to replace a QB.

How much did that punch cost him NFL-wise?

I don't doubt that hill was the best rb last year but his avg. yards per carry was lower than ford and hilliard. he had twice as many carries and more tds.

Potentially millions but there really is no way know for sure since a lot depends on what his performance would have been this year. Further, with a new offense it's even more difficult to extrapolate from last year.

So, it's anybody's guess.

Or most of your OL as with last season.

I will be surprised if a misdemeanor charge does Hill in for the season.

The probation...who knows, but that might not even be decided for a year and if so, he's gonna play.
