OCTOBER 21--A young Minnesota man who “enjoyed wearing diapers” and “wanted to be given a ‘binky’” has been charged with assaulting and strangling his girlfriend as he forcefully sought to put a pull-up diaper on her, according to court records.

Investigators yesterday filed a criminal complaint charging Xander Holmberg, 18, with felony and misdemeanor domestic assault offenses in connection with the bizarre mid-June attack in the victim’s bedroom.

The victim told police that Holmberg “was interested in acting and being treated like a baby” and had threatened to force her to wear a diaper. She “made it clear to Holmberg that she did not want to wear diapers/pullups,” according to a probable cause statement.

The victim, cops reported, said that Holmberg “enjoyed wearing diapers/pullups and wanted to be given...a baby pacifier.”

Investigators allege that Holmberg attacked the victim after the couple engaged in consensual sex in the woman’s residence.

While in bed, Holmberg “grabbed a pullup” and attempted to force the diaper on the victim while pinning her down. Holmberg “grabbed and held Victim 1 down by the throat” and “then covered her mouth and had her in a chokehold to keep Victim 1 quiet.”

The woman said she “began having a panic attack” during the incident and “could not breathe” when Holmberg was choking her. She told police that, “while Holmberg was doing this, she thought she was going to die.”

“Victim 1 stated that it left bruises and injuries to her thigh, neck, and jaw,” reported investigators, who added that photos were provided to them by the woman’s mother ("Witness 1").

Pictured above, Holmberg has been charged with domestic assault by strangulation, a felony carrying a maximum sentence of three years in prison, and misdemeanor domestic assault (punishable by up to 90 days in custody).

Holmberg lives with his family in Rochester, a city 90 miles from Minneapolis that is home to the Mayo Clinic.
