I don't know if it's just me, but I find it much more enjoyable to watch LSU baseball when we're winning.

Now, I'm wondering who the shortest pitcher LSU has ever had.
Shortest one I can think of is Jason Detterman. He was 5’10”

Seeing some nice pieces of hitting this game. Fun to watch

I agree. Too much talent in that bullpen to have Schmidt in over some of the others with some of the issues he's having.
My guess is Jay is doing this because he knows he won't be able to rely on him once we get to conference play, so he's getting him some work now. I hate that it could be at the expense of someone else who's more ready than him. At the expense may not be the wording I'm looking for, but I think you understand my point.

We do, but there’s a reason they want to give Schmidt the opportunity to see if it clicks in some early weekend starts. None of those others have the stuff that he does.
If it doesn’t work, like you said, we’ve got multiple options to fill the spot. That’s a good reason to give Schmidt a little rope.

Based on his stats they showed from last season and how LSU are ambushing him first pitch now, how the frick is this dude a pitcher?

Did D1 Baseball spring for Rollins and McDonald as the announce team for next weekend? If so, that is a good first step to sucker me back in
