It didn't die, he flew out to the track and the only reason it wasn't a double was because the CF was shaded towards left.

That ball was laced to the gap.

I read other day Curiel got hurt in the off season and it might've carried into now. Anyone know if this is true or just hearsay rumors?

If Schmidt ever learns to pitch rather than throw, he could be great. The contrast between great pitching yesterday and throwing today could not be more stark.
You never know where the ball is going.
Ironic, because of all of the strike outs.
