I thought we made it clear on Page1 of this thread that if you did not listen to the PC and you are only seeking to criticize - not to mention you are twisting the truth - then your opinion does not count. Write yourself a letter about your thoughts on Les, because the rest of us don't care.

do you really think anybody fricking cares how you want this thread to play out?

Miles claimed the defensive coaching was perfect all last year and it was just dumb, shitty players fricking everything up and surprise surprise its the same bullshite this year.

And hence is the reason no one takes your opinions seriously. Got to be more objective bro, and more people will listen to you.

Yeah, because in my brief analysis of the game, I definitely said we have "no worries." (sarcasm intended).

I wont make fun of the way the guy talks but what he says isn't encouraging 90% of the time. He likes this soft coverage shite by the CBs and it doesn't work. It didn't work with Pelini, it didn't work with Douglas and Bradley, and its not going to work with Chavis

wait, are you saying Miles didn't blame the players and not the DCs for everything wrong with the defense all of last season?

"Washington's last drive, we were just trying to keep everything in front of us, tackle, and allow them to run the clock out. We were successful in doing so".

They were successful in that the clock did run out - not so the other stuff.

What the hell do you people expect him to say in public? No coach that wants any loyalty from his players or staff acts like you want Miles to act in a public forum, nor should they.

Thank you!!

Coaches use every means possible to conceal their thoughts/plans/moves/concerns to the point of covering their mouths when they talk on the field, but yet in a public news conference Miles is expected/slammed cause he doesn't tell all like some teenage girl talking to her friends bout a boy friend.

Miles also found time to comment on Jared Mitchell's baseball skills. He said
* he has all the tools
* more reps compared to last season was key improving
* has world class speed
* could be a Cral Crawford type

Hmm, let's see... Where are the DCs for last year now? I'd venture to say the ultimate BOOM as far as placing blame lies with them getting the indirect boot from Miles.

Are you actually going to try and pretend like Mallory and Peveto could have stayed at LSU as DCs if they wanted to?

I don't think Miles gave Chad Jones the boot from the program, or Coleman, or Jai Eugene, or Chris Hawkins ... but Mallory and Peveto certainly aren't around here anymore. Who did he blame for last season again? This argument you're trying to make is silly, and is just making you look worse and worse the longer you keep it up.

your ability to comprehend is second only to your love for Les. The point is that all is not well because Miles just fed the local media a bunch of bullshite about our defense only sucking because the players can't tackle. He's never going to come out and admit any fault in his coaching or his underlings so thinking that "OMG we're just a couple little minor improvements from the players away from being awesome because Les just told me so" is naive at best.

Washington was loading up the box, and prevented us from getting any real ground game going in the first half.

Um, there is a common response to this strategy. We didn't use it.

quote:

Jake Locker is going to be a first round draft pick, and Polk is an excellent back.

Almost certainly true. I think Wash. will prove to be a decent team this year. Better than we think.

quote:

Tackling in the first half was the biggest issue on defense. Tackle and the first half is a lot different.

Wheels roll.

quote:

No huddle offense and calling plays at the linie was specific to this game and this environment

Makes sense. Annoying to watch but makes sense.

quote:

offensive line play was ok. They really jammed the box and tried to make us throw the ball, which we did in the second half. We wanted to get the run game going.

Ya know, in the 21st century, they've started to allow you to pass to set up the run. I mean, I've heard tell at least.

quote:

Tolliver and Peterson were great, as was Cutrera.

Tolliver looks like a 1st rounder easy. Lafell is more experienced but Tolliver is the exceptional talent. Cutrera is going to be in the NFL also. Same with Peterson.

quote:

Very pleased with the adjustments our coaching staff made at the half.

Clearly, there were positive adjustments against the run.
