I'd worry if Collins wasn't such a dominant prospect in HS. I think it is pretty clear LSU wants him on the field sooner than later. Probably the type of prospect that will leave early even if he redshirts. No point keeping him off the field. Probably why he is playing G, best chance to play early.

I'm not reading thru the whole thread, but I'm taking one thing away from what I've seen so far... "happenstance" I like it

IMO the reason it's taking so long is the police are still talking to witnesses or other people they want to talk to. Since this matter is getting so much national attention they want to make sure they dot all the legal i's and cross all the legal t's. At some point they are going to have to make a decision as to whether to proceed with charges or drop everything. Like you, I hope it's sooner rather than later.

No I want him to do his job and its his job to make those decisions on his timeline not yours or mine.
Personally I would suspend them but that is my feelings and I dont get paid to make the decisions.

I agree with that. I hope his running with the ones is more on his merit than it is necessity due to injuries
