Is this one of those "when the offense is terrible it's because miles controls the coordinator and when the offense is doing well it's because miles finally butted out" threads?

This is a fact. I like how stating such a fact pisses these clueless sunshine pumpers off. Miles is only as good as the assistants around him. That is undisputable.

is this part of coaching? hiring good staff? you are like the idiots that say hes a shitty coach and only wins because of talent, while ignoring that recruiting is part of coaching. go frick off.

Seems about right

Does it seem about right that 2 of the 3 above him have never won a NC and one of them has never even won a conference championship - even when he was in Conference USA. Meanwhile Miles has a NC, 2 SEC Championships and 3 SEC West titles.

Before I go frick off I would like to add that I think he is a good recruiter. Matter of fact I said so in my previous post. I think he is a good coach in most aspects. However I think he is fricking clueless during the game. I don't see how you can observe him, his actions and his decisions and think otherwise. Go frick off.

I have zero problems with Saban, Spurrier, and Malzahn making more than Les so yes 4th seem right

Not privy to anything. Except knowledge of how to spell the word privy. I do however possess eyes that have seen an assload of gameday coaching decisions cost or almost cost his team the football game. I've seen enough of these instances to be able to draw the conclusion that Miles is not necessarily an asset to have out there making decisions when the game is on the line. Recruiting, managing the day to day aspects of the team he is apparently skilled at. Making the right call after the ball has been put down, not so much.

So much fail here, I just don't know where to begin. I just won't.

I love how being labeled someone who loves your team's coach has evolved into something perjorative.

Honestly Im indifferent about LM.
I dont hate him, but I certianly don't admire him they way some of you do.
I just find it humorous how upset some of you get when anyone says anything that isnt 100% pro LM.

Les' salary is wrong. He makes $4.4 million per year and was 2nd in the SEC this year. He will be 3rd at worst next year.

Bielema and Jones' salaries are not what is reported in USA today. That includes their buyouts from their previous schools and they see none of that money.

Its about rt and no one should complain. We got a good deal seeing what this program is worth.

Now if we lose 4 games and give him a 2mil raise I would be pretty upset.

Well given that he's finished an average of like 3.5 in the SEC during his career here, I'd say that's about right.

just wondering - what would you put the Saban average at Bama over the last four years?

2010 - 5th?
2011 - 3rd?
2012 - 1st
2013 - 3rd?
