The players didn't execute! Mett missed a wide open bomb that would have sealed the game, Vadal couldn't handle his position, the secondary got toasted over and over.

Even the two pass plays called at the end with two yards to go were great calls, the receivers were open and Mett had been hitting those short routes all game.

Miles is unorthadox, yes, but open your eyes. 9 first downs was a result of a line allowing our QB to be knocked down double digit times and allowing our RB to be hit 3 yards in the backfield on 3rd and short.

The Clemson players had a fire that our players did not. Coaching only can ignite a player so much, they have to want it for themselves. Unfortunately that fire never really ignited this season.

The gameplan was there, plain and simple.

If the players CONSISTENTLY "do not execute", then the problem is coaching.

This is more like it. Quit trying to put all the blame on the players.

Please go away. This attitude is exactly the teams problem. It is not just the fricking calls that coaches are responsible for. Aren't you sick of the excuses year after year after year? See how Clemson had a way to minimize our pressure? Our staff has NO EARTHLY idea how to use the talent we have, they try to just do whatever they want.

This was a big part of it and I blame it on the coaches.

I could see there was not going to be any focus leading up to this game. I hope dumbo Miles and coach BBQ were not surprised.

I also think we need a real OC.

I cannot believe my eyes. The team played their hearts out. It was not their fault that the play calling stunk and the clock management was bad...as usual. That D was in what 105 plays. How dumb is that?? Run the ball and slow down the O, so the D gets a rest. GEEZ! Every pass stops the clock and lengthens the game. Not what LSU needed.

Bear Bryant disagrees.
The essence of coaching is to assure reliable execution every game day.
That is the coaches job.

If we were talking one game, I'd agree with you...

Like another poster said, our offense telegraphs what we are going to do...

there is no confusing the defense, they know when we're going to run, and they know when we're going to pass...

you can't leave your defense hangin all night

Delusional sunshine pumping, even at frenzy pace, will not alter reality. Reality was what we got last night. It is all coaching, scheme, game plan, whatever you want to call it. Execution is a product of coaching. Conditioning is a product of coaching. Offensive scheme is a product of coaching. Losing that game is a product of coaching. Deal with it.

Eight 3 and outs and no major adjustments. Yes that's great coaching. Jeremy Hill disappears in the 4th quarter

I really don't like to blame players, but it's really hard to blame coaching when Mett overthrows a wide open receiver standing 15 yards from him. Exactly what are coaches supposed to do about that?
