I feel like I could line up and gain 6yds on this defense. I'd drag Welter assuming he even got to me after being blocked by my phantom OL.

I don't think our recruiting's been as good as it could have been over the past few seasons. Too many big time losses--especially La. boys

Name them. Name the la boys making plays that we lost. You guys do realize that la doesn't produce enough players to compete in the sec. Besides dak Prescott, where are the qbs? Where are the dts? Where are the lbs? La doesn't produce them.?

Take a look at FSU in the last 8 yrs and compare it to LSU. How many NCs or conference championships? How many top 10 matchups etc etc.

So why didn't FSU suffer from NFL losses?

How many of FSU's players are starting in the NFL? We didn't just lose players to the NFL. We lost underclassmen who are starting in the NFL.

We don't have the defense to be a ground oriented team this year. We played attack mode offense first 5 games. Then since Florida reverted back to same ole same ole. Just plain dumb.

So now we blame les for the d. When everyone said he takes no part of it. He let's chavis do his thing. But sure enough, when the d sux it's miles. When they are good, itchavis saved his job.

YOU CANT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!!!

even more evidence that we won despite him, not because of him.

Seems like it's a different problem every year. Pelini left, then we had a couple of bad defensive years. He hired Chief; that problem's fixed. RP got kicked off the team so we struggled at QB. He brought in Mett. That problem's fixed. Our offense was bad, he brought in Krags and tried to fix the problem. Krags gets sick, Miles does the best he can but it doesn't work out and he brings in Cam. Now we lose half the defense to the NFL. (The good half.) Defense is a problem again.

I know that Les is doing everything he can to fix these problems as they arise but it's like a game of wack-a-mole. Fix one problem and something else pops up. I'm not blaming Les but it's frustrating that we can't put it all together in the same year. People look at the offense this year and it's only natural to wonder what it would have been like if this O could have been paired with the defense of the last couple of years.

In all seriousness, Miles does recruit well.

HOWEVER...

Miles...

doesn't know how to motivate players
doesn't prepare a game plan that wins against good or great opponents,
does: panic when something doesn't go as expected
does: totally shite the bed at gametime
does: even worse when it's close at the end.

What does Saban do? Saban excels at ALL of those things.

Saban doesn't forget there's a game on Saturday in the fall.
Saban knows how to get his players to see beyond the scoreboard and how to get the most out of them for 60 minutes.
Saban and the players he's trained don't panic and abandon the run when they get behind by a score or two.
Saban at least has some rudimentary knowledge of the profound mysteries of clock management -- something Les seems to have no concept of.

Saban is not that brilliant actually. He just takes his job seriously. If Miles would do that and just a little bit mind you, we'd be in the NC discussion every year. Easily.

An often unwatchable offense, questionable time management and playing down to the level of the competition has nothing to do with Saban butthurt. It has everything to do with Les.

He never gameplans for lesser teams
always relies on talent to take over. That's why we either squeezed by or lose. Plays not to lose instead of dominate

Would think that an in your face DC on the sidelines might make a difference?
Where is the emotion on the sidelines? Sure isn't coming from Miles.

You say that like its a good thing!! We had all this NFL talent and still lost 3 games last year!!! People over look that aspect if it. They say we are struggling this year and will lose 3 games or more because they are in the NFL but we lost 3 last year with them here!! How does Mikes explain that??

The issues is why we lost all the JRs. Never happened before to anyone else. LSU should insist on a RCCA from Les on the loss of so many underclassmen.

I hate LSU fans some times. You act like Saban's program is so far ahead of LSU's. If not for ESPN financial investment in SEC there is never an all SEC title game on 1/9/2012 and Les gets second NC.

If we make one play and get first down last year against Bama we beat Bama, then Ga in SEC championship and then ND and have back to back NC's.

That is the razor thin difference of winning and losing at the level we are at and if you can't see it then you never will.

I can accept getting beat when we take the field focused and prepared in all 3 phases of the game.

I can accept getting beat when I feel that the coaching staff did all they could do to get the team prepared and adapted as best as they could from a coaching perspective to the game on the field.

We weren't focused and prepared last night and we did a pitfyful job of reacting to the Rebs strategy on both sides of the ball.

Everything I described falls squarely on CLM's shoulders.
