Nope. Urban was Florida's coach and not at Utah

Name another coach who has beaten Saban 3 times.

Well, Tuberville and Spurrier off the top of my head, but there are probably more, especially from his days at Michigan State.

But consider that Miles got 10 tries, which is way more than practically any other coach out there. He won 3 out of 10, or 30%. Coaches who have won more than 30% of their meetings with Saban?

Meyer (Florida and Ohio State)
Spurrier (Florida and South Carolina)
Tuberville (Auburn)
Freeze (Ole Miss)
Zook (Florida)
Frerentz (Iowa)
Brown (Texas)
Stoops (Oklahoma)
DiNardo (LSU)
Whittingham (Utah)
Multiple coaches in the Big Ten from 1995-1999

That's just a few off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more.

Nick Saban has faced Urban Meyer 4 times and currently has a 2-2 record against him.

They faced each other in these games.

2008 SEC Championship Game - Won by Florida 31-20
2009 SEC Championship Game - Won by Alabama 32-13
2010 Regular Season Game 6 - Won by Alabama 31-6
2015 CFP Semi Final Game - Won by Ohio State 42-35

Record 2 - 2

So context counts? You can't have it both ways. Alabama wasn't the same program it is now when Miles got those wins. Saban had to rebuild it first. Now that they're clicking, I don't see any evidence Miles knows some special secret to beating them. If he does, it would have been nice if he would have used it while still at LSU

The fact that he has played him so many times and was available to comment is enough to ask him.

As an LSU fan, yeah it sucks we haven't beaten bama since 2011, but Miles also has more experience preparing for that game than just about anyone. From an outsiders perspective, we almost beat them every year but 2013.

Some of y'all will go pretty far out your way to shite on the dude. If you were preparing to play bama, who else would you try and get insight from? He coached against them more times than any other coach since Saban has been there, and he is currently unemployed. He doesn't have to have a secret to beating them, nobody does, but he has experience preparing for them.

Miles said "I'm never touching the offense and I'm hiring an elite OC to do whatever they want" he'd still be coach and we'd be in the playoff.

That's all any of us ever wanted. Hire an OC and let him work. That seems to be what Miles did in 2007 and look at that offense. Miles never would go back to that. Guess he figured he could run the puckered a-hole offense and squeeze out 9-11 wins and keep his job.

I was at the 2015 game and LSU was never in the game the whole second half. One garbage time TD kept that game from being a complete blowout. For the most part though you are right.

For all the talk on beating the gumps, you have to beat their arse on both sides of the ball at the LOS. You can win the turnover battle, you can have equal/better athletes, but if you do not win the LOS you'll get your arse beat 6 years in a row like we have.

Did Ole Miss win the LOS in those wins? I didn't watch those games so I really don't know.

worth talking to him just to find out how he described the problems he had dealing with their defense. you can learn what not to do.

It's pretty clear how to score on Saban's defense. Spread the frick all over the field (if you can do it competently) and stay away from their front 7.

This is quite true. This where is all starts, the battle of the LOS. LSU also has to get better at the offensive tackle positions to defend against the edge rushers.

Les Miles is the worst coach in LSU history, his wins are a product of Saban and should be awarded to Saban. Saban is Alpha and Omega
