What about when nutt decided to throw the ball 3 times against lsu eventually losing the game when felix and mcfadden had been having their way wit our d in 06. Regardless of the uf outcome, if they beat us that year they are in the sugar bowl and we are not. Bad clock management and play calli g buy nutt.

now be a good sport and show the graph of the last two years trend vs the SEC...this year is a make or break year...

We've had more success in the five years under Miles than we have ever seen at LSU in any five year period.
Nope. You have to add a qualifier to that statement. Namely, under one coach, since Dietzel/McClendon had a better run from 1958-62 (even though McClendon was only one year of that) and Saban/Miles had a better run from 2003-07.

We as LSU fans have just gotten really, really spoiled, and in many ways it's a shame.
We expect top 10 facilities, top 10 budget expenditure, top 10 fan support, top 10 recruiting resources, top 10 national visibility, top 10 historical excellence and a top 5 coaching salary to produce something close to top 10 performance on a reasonably consistent basis.
And no, that's not a shame. A shame is that from the 1970s through the 1990s, we were satisfied with mediocrity, and that some want to bring it back.

is he the 2nd best coach on that list?
yes.
When Saban passes him on that list this year, will Miles then be the 3rd best coach on the list?

Probably not, but it's amazing to me that fans (including myself at times) are ready to run Miles out of town.
Smoke won a ton of games but everyone could see the writting on the wall and the direction the program was heading.
Les = the Smoke Laval of football
Mainiere = the Nick Saban of baseball

Tigers are about fill in 13 spots on both sides of the ball, while most of Bama's key players are back, so what does that say?

So he will take the job in say Atlanta after this year, suck at it and come back to the SEC West in a couple of years?
That'll suck for our fans to have opposing coaches they obsess over in Baseball and football, some obsess over JBrady so I guess it will be the trifecta...

Out of the BEST coaches I'd put Miles at 3. Really.

.773 Miles (51-15)

*Joker Phillips and Derek Dooley have yet to coach a game as an SEC head coach.
The second best winning % in the SEC is not good enough for the Miles bashers or LSU!
Idoits one and all.

No they see him as a bad coach because his teams do not do the little things well, such as explode off the lines and block well, as well as poor tackling fundementals, oh yeah and something called bad management skills in relation to use of timeouts and clock management

I wish Miles the very best as he coaches our LSU football Tigers, but if you think he is a better coach than Saban, you are not being realistic.
