MILES... and 5 star recruits

We will be NOT getting as much top 5 star talent because they don't get to play as freshman at LSU like they do at other schools. It is one thing to NOT let them play if they do not do good in practice or beat out say a junior or senior. But sometimes they do real good if you let them play enough so they get into a rhythm and shine.

Go look at the list of 5 stars from last year, see how much PT they are getting.
BTW, our 2 biggest 5 * recruits last year, Shepard and Randle ARE frickING PLAYING!
Sorry they don''t get as many touches as some of MB coaches think they should (how many touches did Trent Richardson have for Bama Sat?) In case you haven't notices, top College head coaches make plenty of money, some of you should go out there and coach, it pays much more than you make as an assistant at McDonald's

wow you are dumb. in 2011 LSU will sign 4-5 5 star players. 3 or 4 will be from louisiana.

I think that you are putting WAY too much emphasis on how many "stars" a player gets ranked in high school. If he can play he will play, regardless of how good he was in HIGH SCHOOL...

The fact that Shep and Randle don't get 10-15 touches per game is because they aren't ready. Maybe this says something about the coaches, I don't l know--but I do know that throwing unprepared kids out there will hurt the team. Miles excels at recruiting, probably in part because he comes off as a straight shooter and not a bull shitter. Recruiting is the last thing I'm worried about with Miles.

Besides Shep, what 5 star freshman hasnt seen playing time at LSU that should have?
You want to waste Davenport and Ford's redshirt when you have guys with more expirience and as much talent ahead of them? Davenport isnt ready and Ford is behind Ridley and Williams.

as do KW and Chad Jones, and to an extent TT. pretty much the only 5 stars that didn't get a good amount of pt as freshmen were RP (shirted) and Al Woods (some pt but not a lot)

I remember Lafell playing in 2006, but not sure if he was a true freshman or a 5 star.
