No it's not. His dad has been his coach his entire life.

Just like nba and MLB players have personal coaches that they work with.

You can’t hit when you’re uncomfortable. Milam had obviously gotten into his own head.

This is exactly it. Hitting isn't rocket surgery, I gave hitting lessons for 15 years. I teach my own children, and I take them to lessons where I'm paying someone to say the same thing I say to them.

Hearing it from somewhere else has its benefits, when they are in a slump, it always comes back to me to help with the mental aspect.

Like I said lol. Anyone being honest will admit this is not a good thing. It’s OK to admit a negative about your favorite team lol

This tells me it was probably all mental and he just needed the love of a dad to get his swing back.

Nah, he was getting underneath the ball too much

Dad got him back to more square contact. That is a technical difference

Yep same here. That along with eventually throwing his arm out in all the years he’d pitch to me before and during baseball season.

Your baseball coaches can help you, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to get extra work. Players will go to the cages on their own frequently with other players. This happens a lot especially at the college and high school levels.

You’re talking about reps and practice not a coach helping with your swing

Parents know the mental and physical side of their kid. It was probably the best thing for Milam to do, his dad can see the mental side of his swing as well as the swing itself and see where his kid is off.

Shoutout to pops for being a good hitting coach

Tell us what he’s doing different then.

The guy who taught my son to hit was a pro baseball player for around 8 years. He was a Tony Gwynn teammate. He literally was show me exactly what to work on with my son. He would tell me you need to do this homework and that drill. That’s the experience of 99% of these kids today. It’s their job to work on their swings. Tacky Sweater probably never played competitive sports of any kind and has no idea.

Think he’s retired from the Boarder Patrol so he should be free.

TS doesn’t even believe his own shite. It’s an artificial opinion to support his trolling of Jay Johnson and staff because he’s from California and we didn’t go undefeated.

I do the same with my son. Seems dads can get their sons dialed in.

Of course, my son isn’t going to play college ball.

Beaned.

Also I think he comes alive in the postseason. Dad still gets some credit.
