I am not a fan of the park but LSU did hit more homers in 2023 than 2025

Again it’s just the style of ball I prefer but whatever it takes to win, I’m down for

I disagree, have you even paid attention to Milam the last 2 years? Watching an artist at work at short stop is beautiful.

You have the right to your opinion

I like the home runs and strikeouts but you like the fielding

We all are entitled to our opinions

One side of the bracket is another SEC tournament. That’s interesting.

I don't get the down votes. It is interesting and surprising. Didn't realize we homered so few times.

I have a reputation on here for being home run obsessed which isn’t wrong but I get downvotes anytime I make a home run thread

The last two we won were very tight throughout, especially 2023 when almost every game was decided by one run and low scoring. Except for the wild last two games when LSU and UF combined for 50 runs in 2 games.

LSU won the ‘25 CWS. No matter how many home runs they hit.

Troy PROBABLY won’t win it this year.

Strikeouts are boring and fascist. Ground balls are democratic……….

Probably because the op said absolutely nothing suggesting that home runs are all that matters in baseball. He just made an interesting observation about the number of home runs from a small school in one game versus a dynasty in a championship run. I read it and took it exactly how he meant it.. "humm, that's interesting...."

Can't tell tone in text but yours came off a bit argumentative.

I think the wind was very bad in Omaha last year Only 14 total homers were hit in 14 games

I was there. The wind was outrageous.

My bad, I wasn't even talking about your second post. I thought it was referring to the post by penguin. Where he simply stated baseball is more than just home runs.

I thought you explained yourself well in the second post. My bad for getting them switched up.

SO many factors to consider before throwing this stat out like it means something. Pitchers faced and their hr’s given up on the year. Wind and weather conditions. Time of games. This stat seriously is just dumb without all the data that actually matters.

A more interesting fact is LSUs home run record of 188 is in serious jeopardy if Georgia wins against Texas in the elimination game

Remind me. Who won it all in 2025? It’s on the top of my tongue but I can’t quite recall.

I’ll take a National Championship over hitting home runs

No team there in 26 was there in 25. That's more interesting than the HR thing.
