Baseball is more than just hitting home runs

I agree

But it’s a major part of the game

Strikeouts and home runs are the most fun aspects of baseball but even I know that baseball isn’t all about those things

You have to have timely hitting, a great batting average, limited amount of walks, RBIs, base hits, etc

What about a squeeze play with Tre Morgan at first?

More interesting is that LSU walked away with a natty.

Troy’s fate is TBD.

I understand why the op is getting downvoted but why is this post getting downvoted

I just said that baseball was about other things than home runs

Dang, if LSU would’ve hit homers like Troy has then they’d have won it all last year

I’m thrilled lsu won without the long ball

The wind was an impact last year and I know that

I mean Troy definitely isn’t better than 2025 LSU but it is kinda wild that we only hit 2 HR the entire CWS

I think the wind was very bad in Omaha last year

Only 14 total homers were hit in 14 games

Homers in the CWS don't mean anything if you don't win it all.

This park is terribly designed. The direction of the wind determines if routine pop ups leave, or hitting a HR is impossible. And the sun playing such a huge role in games is ridiculous too.

And on cue, the sun prevents the LF from making a play and a HR is hit by that batter a pitch later.
