I'm excited for the young man. Very wise decision to not come back for a potential NC run. No guaranteed money....but early second round is nothing to sneeze at. And no more school!!! A no brainer. Wish him the best in Boston.

At his size he might max out at the mid 20's. This way he's in a good spot.

Anyone who thinks JJ will even come close to a NC based purely on a few 18 year olds is smoking crack

Almost as wise as going to the draft and getting drafted in the second round

He was....til the admins deleted my thread. So...to appease the Gods, I changed my approach. Still think he made a mistake, bit I guess I'm not allowed to say that....

He did what he thought was best for him. I still think he could have improved his game and been a 1st rounder with Ben next year.

Look...my vitriol is admittedly completely selfish....I wanted Mickey back to compliment Ben, Antonio and Brandon. That being said...no guarantee his draft stock would improve.....especially based onhis last few months performance....so in all honesty, I get it.

Not sure why you're so butthurt over one of our players getting drafted to the pros. Be happy for him.

I don't think it was wise at all. With his athleticism, if he gained a little weight,
got stronger and became a more consistent shooter he could have moved way up.
All of this is obtainable for him, his shooting form isn't bad, but he wore down badlly
in the latter part of the season and his outside and found shooting really suffered.
He would have had allot more chances to shoot next year. He will be a defensive
stopper in the pros and won't get much opportunity to work on his mid range game

better tact. Previous thread was a dig at him personally. I'm with you on this comment but once a Tiger declares, what he thinks is best for himself and his future, I'm supportive

Mickey will receive excellent coaching in a tradition rich franchise. This is a great start to his career.

He can do that when he's not pretending to be interested in class.

He couldn't hold up against mediocre opposition, so how will he hold up against pros. Mickey will be a hustle guy. Not tall enough or big enough to be a defensive stopper. At best he will be an okay help defender a few years down the road.

Considering where they were drafted, I can't fault either of their decisions. Good luck to them.
