Through 1 game of Myles Brennan assuming he continues around his play yesterday.

I’m 50/50 here.

Sometimes Mett made right decisions, sometimes he made wrong ones.

Brennan seemed to refuse to make decisions at all.

I'm taking Mettenburger all day. He was a really good QB in an archaic offense so I imagine he would do well with this team.

Myles Brennan 100%

Myles was not nearly as terrible as so many here are saying he was. He's NOT going to be Joe Burrow - people need to stop comparing the QB play from MB to their QB expectations in their heads right now. Yes, he has a lot to work on but as bad as he played, he still threw for 345 yards and 3 touchdowns. Improve only a little bit and he's a hell of a quarterback.

The defense and o line is what every fan needs to be pissed about. MB can't do everything by himself.

Year 2 starter Mett was really good. Typically very poised and threw the ball all over the field. I’d love to have that Mett in our present offense.

well in Metts first year....until bama, he looked the same or worse than brennan yesterday. Everyone remembers the bama game and the next year and forgets the first few starts for mettenburger.

they forget about the 12 tds vs 7 ints. the 97 passing yards against A&M, the 4 straight SEC games before the bama game where he had under 170 yards and only had a completion % above 50, once.

They forget the 14-23 for 120 yards with 1 td 1 int against clemson that he had.

Everyone knows this. Don’t really see anybody comparing him to Burrow, there was no way he could live up to that.

The defense was terrible, no doubt.

The oline made mistakes and Brennan ran himself into sacks. 50/50 at fault there.

His decision making or lack there of was awful. There's really no getting around it.

I'll take the guy that threw for 3000 yard sin a Les Miles offense and made it to the NFL over anything I've seen from Brennan to this point.

Yeah it’s almost like it takes a few games for any new QB to finally be comfortable as the starter. I’d take Myles Brennan over Mett. Mett had a really nice arm but that was it. Wasn’t mobile and if the OL play was bad, then we had no chance with Mett

Yeah year one Mett didn’t look awesome but we had a an archaic offense that didn’t allow him to play to his strengths. Could you imagine what Joe Brady could have designed for Mett?

I'm not arguing that at all. I agree with you.

I'm just saying MB was the best part of the team on Saturday. Even with all his mistakes and shitty play, he still put up pretty impressive stats. I honestly believe with better O line play and a little improvement from MB, he will be a hell of a quarterback.

The defense and O line is what lost the game for us, 100% in my opinion. It kills me to say that because I was super pumped for Bo Pelini to be back at LSU but so far, he hasn't done shite for LSU. I'm willing to give him more than one game with damn near a brand new defense, though.

Mettenberger EASILY. Both seem to be statues at least Mett had confidence he could make tight throws and did so a lot.

Yea, no. Can't agree with you there. Jacoby Stevens was my standout for game 1.

I'd also add our punting and kicking game as well.
