i dont think lee is the best QB on our team. i appreciate what hes done in his time at LSU. i just dont think hes good enough to be the QB for a team ranked #2 in the country.

What the frick are you basing this on? His freshman year? He has looked good the past 2 years. Cut down the turnovers and is making smart decisions. Led us to a victory over a top 5 opponent and then dismantled a weak OOC game. How else can he prove himself to you?

but we all agree that most of his negative results on the field came from his freshman year, right?
yes

what has he done in the last 2 years that was negative? i can think of a shite ton of good things, and very few bad things.
hes done good, but its been the "lesser of 2 evils" between him and JJ. obviously he wasnt able to wrangle the starting job from JJ last year- which still baffles me. i think theres a better QB on the roster. i think he wears #8

What has Mett shown you that tells you he is ready to be the QB for the #2 team in the country?

The problem is that this statement has no credibility.

he just doesnt have it. he lacks the moxy. we win in spite of him. we baby him him along like hes a freshman-- but hes a 5th year senior.

Now let's not get carried away.....

He looked good. Very comfortable, his passes were very accurate but it was against Nw st.

I'm sure it won't be that last time we see him under center but he won't start, I assure you. Unless Lee gets hurt.

Nothing against the kid, he looks awesome, but he's still new. Let him get playing time in like the QB's before him and the QB's before them. He'll be ok.

disagree. hes not a 4 year starter whos savvy. hes a kid whos had ups and downs and has spent more time on the bench, than on the field-- and had mixed results when hes on the field.

Yeah, he's not savvy. You need to relook over last year's game film. Specifically, Tennessee, Florida and Alabama.

This whole thread is retarded and I have posted in it three times. Aggghhhh. Well played retard. Well played.

Can anyone explain the QB pedigree thing to me? Do good QBs run in his family?

It's just stupid and ignorant. You are downplaying the credibility of a top 5 team based on the idea that Oregon may not be a top 5 team in 4 months.
