Why do some people keep bringing up JJ at every possible stop?

Bottom line:

Mett won't be a starter this year unless Lee loses a limb. It's gonna be hard for the message board coaches to accept cause their eyes are telling them Mett tearing it up against NSU equals better QB.

That and Les's opinion matters more than the opinions of thousands of message board jockies.

Why do you want to bench a QB who's winning games? If we're playin Miss St and Lee is OBVIOUSLY struggling, then by all means put Mett in. But I don't see any point benching a QB who keeps winning simply because the back up looked better. (although i did see mett throw a pass behind randle that was just as bad as any pass lee has thrown this year)
he's winning because we haven't faced a D-line yet that can stop our running game. When we eventually have to throw the ball to win a game this season, who would you rather in there? Can you be honest with yourself? I'm not asking who has been here longer, or who has squeaked by without fricking up yet, I'm asking who you would rather have when we have to throw to win.

Quit lying to yourself

Judging by your screen name and the fact that you probably watched this game via a play-by-play on your phone, I can see why you posted what you did.

I have no idea what the frick this even means.

Some of these same people were bitching at those pushing Mettenberger a few weeks ago claiming he hasn't faced an SEC defense.

Well, he still hasn't. What changed?

ZM has throw a handful of passes vs north fricking western... and you are making this assumption.

Probably fricked up your day today, eh? Lee throwing efficiently.

I wonder how some of you folk are going to react when JJ comes back? Probably the tired, old "Mett isn't ready."

I don't see either of the three QB's as a huge benefit over the other. One day some of you player haters will get a grip on this.

I love how you suck at pretending to be smart. I also love how you label me with all these other schmucks. Truth be told, I don't think Mett is ready now. Ready is a tricky word though, but either way, that's why he's not starting, and we all know that. But I do think a not-ready-yet Mettenberger is better than a RS senior JL. Not only is JL not ready now, he's never been ready. Same case for JJ. They both disgust me. Mettenberger on the other hand is a gifted and natural QB. It doesn't take a genius to see the extent of JL and JJ's suckage. Thank you for your time.

they have to now admit the best QB has been on the bench for 2 yrs, so they gotta pound on him still, since they look idiotic supporting JJ

I love how half the people who use this are the same people who bitched about JJ as the starter (not necessarily you).

Honestly right now I want Lee. He did it last year when we needed it, no reason to think he can't do it again. I'm not a grass is always greener type of guy. Until Lee gives me a reason not to be, I'm behind him 100%.

Benching a player when he hasn't screwed up at all yet is absurd. He has not "squeaked by" anything. He went 9 for frickin 10 for 140 yds and a TD and you want to bench him cause Mett looked prettier.

What happens if Mett comes in and goes gunslinger and throws a couple INT's? You gonna be screamin for Rivers?

As long as the coaches have Lee starting I'm gonna root for him. Not that hard of a concept.

I agree with your Rog - but given our current situation, I think it may be time to use Mett even if he isn't ready. We can only skate by with bad qb play for so long with this brutal schedule. Let Mett get comfortable NOW

you have successfully argued against yourself,

This is amazing.

You are like every fan that calls for the backup QB, like it is some magic bullet.

But this case is different, in that the starter was more accurate, more productive, and more prolific. So your position is damn near tarded.

U think its his performance in this game or the last 2 years that have people calling for Mett?

Let's be fair then. If you want Mett to start based on this game, you can only judge Lee from this game. You cannot say that Mett should start because of his performance tonight, and Lee should sit because he played poorly in 2008.

what does that have to do with Lee and Mett? Mett wasn't an option last year, so I don't see how your point is relevant

He's been throwing pussy passes. Stop with the "he's only thrown 1 pick since his freshman year." He's also only thrown 4 TD's since his freshman year, and something like 700 yards. I've only thrown zero picks for LSU since my freshman year. Idiots on this board.
