Tigers face Northwestern St, Southeastern, Nicholls and Lamar from the southland... But not the Cowboys??? I wonder why?

tGeneral always was pretty good ab OOC scheduling. Probably didnt want LSU dragging down his SoS

Will Wade is a mercenary
He will be out of McNeese in the blink of an eye if a bigger school comes calling
LAKE CHARLES – Willy the Kid rode into the Legacy Center for the first time this season then swaggered out with his Bayou Bandits with a commanding 67-48 victory over Southern Miss on Wednesday night in front of 3,494 fans.

Because every since the Johnny era ended, we've only played McNeese once (2021).

You mean to tell me a Coach would leave a smaller school for a bigger school and probably more money? That is unheard of! How dare he!!!!!

I guess McNeese must be afraid of Tulane & ULM too…

They were supposed to be for the next 3 years but Woody dropped them after Wade was hired.

I realize WW was a popular coach and got us into a few NCAA's which was great, but MY God can we give it a rest and give our current coach a damn chance? In addition, do any of you truly believe that WW did NOT cheat and do it in a stupid way? I realize the NCAA is a joke and Arizona coach is still there etc, but this does not change this simple fact.

We obviously arent going to be playing McNeese so long as Wade there
PR disaster for us, especially if they win

I don’t think Will Wade did it differently than any of the other basketball blue bloods. He happened to have the bad luck of the FBI chasing after shoe companies and he got dinged as collateral damage. Will Wade was cleared of the charges caught when the FBI was following Adidas. But the NCAA was so frustrated with finding nothing to stick, they kept digging until they found something.
If the NCAA went that hard at any program they would find something.

All McMahon has to do is win a few games to gain some support. But in a season and a 1/4 all he has done is erode his what basketball support Will Wade had built.

People are giving McMahon a chance. He's just not producing results. I wish that wasn't the case, but it is.
Plus, this is one of those rare instances where a popular coach was NOT let go because of poor results on the court. So there is still an affinity for his efforts here at LSU. An affinity that grows larger with every LSU loss by the current coach and win by the former coach in his first year at a program that has RARELY been good.

What a fricking LOSERRRRR comment.
He's making $200k this season.
If he gets hired next year for say $4 million, that is a 1,900 PERCENT increase in pay.
Anyone in any industry would be a retard not to take a 1900% increase.
That's equivalent to going from $50k a year to $950k a year.
$100k a year to $1.9 million a year.
From minimum wage of $7.25 an hour to $137.75 an hour.

He absolutely did, he had direct conversations with someone over the phone. That seems minor and most times would be but he was unlucky in that case. Blue blood coaches use intermediaries almost without fail.

Cleared of criminal charges. The NCAA does not have to meet that standard. But because they dropped the Wade portion, that part of those tapes did not become part of the public record so the NCAA did not have access to that evidence and the FBI would not give it to them, rightfully so IMO.

All of that seems to be true. The fact is the NCAA has a lot of latitude in their findings but they have become a bit reticent to use that lately, mostly because they keep getting swatted down in court.
I also think there was an implied threat in the NOA, that was to get rid of Wade or we will hammer football and basketball. Perhaps some behind-the-scenes negotiations as well.
All of that is pure speculation, obviously.

McMahon should be judged for what he does based on where he started and nothing else. Wade is not part of that equation. McMahon is not setting himself up to be here very long or garner fan support. I hope he fixes that, I am not too optimistic.

Our current coach, while being a great Christian man, frickING SUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKs as a coach at LSU. It is a horrible fit. His portal work is arse. His recruiting is not to the level to COMPETE for SEC Titles (like Wade), his NIL work is arse. His motivational abilities suck. His ability to coach a competent team sucks. His ability to reach the NCAA tournament is non existent.
How some people want to give him more time is crazy. We have a legitimate chance for finishing in the bottom 3 of the SEC yet again this year.

The shoe guy was the intermediary. Will Wade wasn’t making a strong arse offer to a player over the phone.
