Here's the thing, I know Jay is going to sacrifice defense for offense but with LSU's pitching staff, giving extra outs can be disastrous.

Because you aren't seeing the bigger picture. We're not just trying to win a series against Mississippi state. We're trying to win the whole fricking thing. Even if you get the best of those guys you mentioned it still isn't likely enough to win in Omaha. The ceiling isn't reached without them so you can either give up on them and accept elimination in Omaha (or maybe even earlier) or keep throwing then out there hoping they improve. It might cost a bad inning or two or even a game vs mcneese, Georgia or someone in the SECT but who tf cares if we aren't gonna win it all anyway
