All this “news” coming out of the athletic department about basketball and NIL is actually kind of brilliant.
Do all this in year 3 during a 2-16 or 3-15 season. Then next year if they’re able to win 4 or 5 games in year 4, they’ll be able to say, “look fans, we’re McComing!” Year 5 maybe they’ll win 6 or 7 games and eventually get back to a .500 conference record by year 7 (contract years, we know in real years he hasn’t even started yet).
Then boom, 7 year contract extension to keep the McMomentum going!
