Franks wasn't the only one.
The issue wasn't that, or not getting Franks, the issue was Cam resisting (against his better judgement) not recruiting other QBs because Franks whined about it on twitter (and I'm assuming on phone also) every damn time Cam visited anybody.
If I remember correctly we didn't offer any other QBs until after Franks verbaled to UF. Then it was a little bit of a mad scramble.

Maybe we should send Mcelwain a basket of flowers and a big thank you for stealing Franks.
He obviously has the same eye for quarterback talent as Miles.

You’re right Franks gave LSU the boot the day after the Arky loss in 2015. It had nothing to do with Florida or McElwain. There had been rumors he wasnt impressed with our offensive style and after that 3 game stretch he decided not to come here. Miles as per usual is lying. I was glad, the Rant overrated him so bad it was silly and he was never the player our fans made him out to be.

I posted several times about how O picked the Saints and then Tennessee subsequently over LSU in 08 and 09.

you're right that mac deserved to get shite. but the reality is just because your HC gets the axe doesn't necessarily hurt the player. one could easily say that miles getting axed would have helped franks if he was good enough. being under the tuteledge of Canada is far better than Cameron. and it seems that being at florida under mac ain't good either.

We dodged a bullet with Franks. He would have been a classic Les Miles QB at LSU and by that I mean horrible.

My sentimentts exactly! That smart-arse (please excuse the lingo, it's just people like Mcelwain pisses me off) decided to talk feces like a little kid on a playground. "They got what they deserved," when he was too scared to play LSU when his QB was injured so he balks on coming to BR so the kid had time to heal and forces LSU to cancel a game they couldn't reschedule. So, yes, those arrogant pompous ahole's all got what they deserved. Mcelwain is classless. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but during the first half of that LSU-Fla game this season when Fla would mess-up on the field, Mcelwain was literally laughing. I honestly don't think he believed for a second that LSU was going to beat them. Reminded me of the smirks on Zooks face when Saban was at LSU and playing Fla.
