Google louisville players in the draft I don’t think people realize some of the studs that come through there. Their catcher is going to be a top 5 pick this year too

Hot rumor of the weekend is Pat Casey, LE

Don’t know how long feel about it from a non baseball perspective — age, Heimlich

Guess we’ll see

That rumor just makes no sense. Casey is 62 and has never coached in the south. As weird as it would be to say no to someone with his success, im not sure i want him

Casey seems more suited to Notre Dame if Jarrett bolts. Supposedly a very devout, daily Mass attending type, which is odd, knowing he had a child molester on his OSU team.

Whoever it is, I don’t want to see any West Coast influence. Augie brought that So-Cal mentality to Texas, and sure it fits well in Austin, but Baton Rouge is a different animal.

Schlossnagle had a segment on ESPNU Radio on SXM recently and he talked about how they do a little bit of everything, and he also spoke about how the guys in the big leagues don’t base their entire offensive strategy around small ball. I absolutely despise that shite. You never break the will of your opponent when you’re constantly trying to win games with 4 runs or fewer and relying on guys throwing sliders.

Give me the well-built, clean-shaven, gritty bastards from the 90’s and give me a coach who understands that’s the image LSU baseball needs.

I don’t think Casey knew anything about that kid’s past until the newspaper reporter discovered it. By that time the pitcher had been in his program for 3 years. I can understand not wanting to completely abandon the kid at that point.

So if McDonell has a great bunch of studs but didnt make the post season, hes the equivalent of Les Miles. Got it.

Guess you’d rather O’Sullivan or Bianco, huh?

Hey 3PT, do you have any more insight into the McDonnell smoke? Is it realistic or am I setting myself up to be disappointed?
