Both teams were bad. Ga made the play that matter, even if it was a clear over the back.
Look this team is better than last year, but still mediocre. You would hope your 7ft C would be in there, too bad he's soft as warm butter.
Another game that offensive rebs cost us.

You don’t start trying to rebound after the shot hits the rim. As soon as the ball is released you find your man, but your arse on him and drive him back. Dean was reactive, not proactive. And he’s also physically weak.

Neither team was getting offensive rebounds and LSU rebounded way better than Georgia. LSU just shot crappy and turned the ball over way too much. Drove right into a shot blocker and took ill-advised shots. Made bad passes. Just make a couple more shots, and turn the ball over 3 or 4 fewer times. LSU wins. Cut the turnovers in half and LSU wins easily, IMO.

He was blocking out with the ball in the air. Dean is outweighed by the UGA guy by about 35 lbs. He’s not going to drive him anywhere. But Dean was in between him and the goal. The ball just rocketed off the rim and past Dean.
Or I could buy the UGA guy reached over the back.

Given the situation, we got the best look you were going to get.
This game was lost because we missed a ton of shots at the rim. and of course we couldn't get the 1 reb we needed.

All I’m saying is if we advance to half court then call the timeout to run a proper inbounds half court set we’d get a much better look.

Yes I also agree with this. Basketball is not determined by one play. It's not Dean's fault he couldn't get the rebound. It's a compounding list of reasons.
We got gifted the chance to win by a blown layup. If their player converts the bunny we'd be having a completely different discussion right now.
