Down 7, take as much time as possible. All the Xs and Os.

Down 7 8 minutes to go, run down the court and jack up quick 3 and miss. Use 5 seconds

Down 7, 30 seconds left, go down the court, pass, dribble drive, get the ball poked out of bounds, pass it in, dribble, finally jack up a fall away 3 and miss Use 20 seconds.

You’re not wrong but we did have some decent looks that were way way off in the second half. We’re a fast paced team that excels in running/transition. Teams like that without very solid and borderline equal talent depth get killed down the stretch. Just look at 2021 LSU, same thing.

Mark Sears didn’t play in the second half and we still lost

One might argue that we lost because he sat the second half, not in spite of it.

We need shooting badly. Hopefully V. Miller comes back shooting well. We need a 3 point shooter, because Sears and Carter, are too inconsistent from outside. I wonder if there is any chance for Ward to return?

Guys played hard just could take advantage of Bama TOs in second half, also shooting from 3 was horrendous, if they make 2-3 more 3 pointers this game is W, when Bama went on scoring drought, LSU did also couldnt take advantage in that 4-5 min stretch

It’s just so damn frustrating because it feels close but it feels not close at the same time.
we did everything we could to muddy up game. We simply don’t have shooters to shoot with shooting teams or the big bodies to body physically built teams we are in basketball purgatory.

Alabama played sloppy and overlooked the worst team in the SEC. LSU is still the same bad basketball team.

LSU is going to get overlooked a lot this season because the SEC is such a juggernaut. Teams will treat LSU like a reprieve.

That A-hole Oats felt comfortable enough to sit his best player the whole second half think speaks to that.

Dude looked like he was crying on the bench in the second half. I'm thinking he got coached a bit at halftime for his poor play and mouthed back so he got benched. I can't help but wonder would he have been vs. Auburn.

Even in spite of Oats sitting down Sears the whole second half, LSU was stuck on stupid at 58 for 4 1/2 minutes, while Bama was building an insurmountable lead.

Curtis givens with an Offensive rating of 15 lol. If vyctorious comes back from the mystery injury givens doesn't need to be on the court much in games we are contesting.

Just to put in context, as bad as Mike Williams played he was still 4 times higher on offensive rating with a abysmal 57
