I’ve always been a big supporter of Myles and always wanted to see him succeed, but I find it a little questionable that a guy who’s waited 3 years to get his turn and finally be qb1, doesn’t want college football to happen this fall. Below are his liked tweets from the past couple of days. If Burrow was in this position, he would give his last breath for a chance to compete for a championship with his teammates. Also, I think Myles needs to spend a little less time in the deer stand and in the duck blind, and a little more time with his receivers and learning the playbook. Again, I want to see Myles succeed, I’m just not sold on him being “the guy.”

He needs to let Coach O know so we can go after Fields or another QB from a conference that cancels. There’s a real opportunity this year that won’t exist in other years.

I respect Myles’ opinion but Coach O is a guy who wants players that are all in, and QB most importantly.

He may have a different opinion than you on the health risks in this pandemic?
The horror...

this is almost as stupid as the people on here deciphering Joe Burrow's political views in June

Stop looking far into Twitter/social media.

Its his choice completely

He just needs to be honest with his coach and teammates that he doesn’t want to play

So we gathered that he doesn’t want to play based off a few tweets that he liked? Maybe he just appreciated what those people were saying?

ETA: Also OP can kick rocks with this click bait thread title

Remember when Phil Robertson was the starting QB at LA Tech who loved duck hunting more than football so he quit in 1968? His backup? Terry Bradshaw.

I think at the end of the day he wants to play, but it’s clear he thinks it is somehow more safe for football to not go on this fall.

Sort of wish someone would open a computer in a front of him and show him basic data from the CDC that shows kids his age are more likely to die in a lightning strike or driving to campus than they are from covid.

I encourage him to do what he feels is best for him and his girlfriend.

I don't necessarily take him liking those posts as him saying that he doesn't want to play or that the season shouldn't take place.

It's perfectly okay to respect or like different opinions. In fact, I think it's great that he has an open mind instead of bashing others' opinions.

I think it’s a little weird to have a guy whose screen name is the real name of a current coach talking shite about a current athlete.

Someone started this same thread an hour before you did.

And for the record they both suck.

For as much money as those kids have on the line, especially a QB like Myles, I would play through the Black Plague to put film out there. Burrow was right, if this happened last year he would be out of $36 million bucks right now.

I imagine everyone here as that 50 year old guy who has transition lenses, a patchy moustache and those Walmart “leather” jackets with the toonces logo following high school and college aged dude’s twitter likes and it makes me chuckle

Say all you want about whether or not he wants to play, or maybe he just respects someone for being open about their own situation, but there's no doubt that Trevor Lawrence wants to play.
