Naaa he just needs a fresh start , but sure lost my respect when he left before the Bowl game , leaving LSU high and dry with no QB to play outside of Garrett(wasting his Redshirt)

If he knows that he’s going to be a backup from here out at LSU and has made the decision to transfer, he might as well make the move now so he can use bowl practices with his new team to get caught up on their system.

Whatever the reason, he was a warrior for LSU and gave it his all. He stood in the pocket and got clobbered as he threw that game winning TD in his last game.

Speculation:
Maybe Jake--and possibly Max--didn't like Notre Dame recruiting experience and Coach K.
It's been known for 2 years they are a package deal.
Jake says "Let's go somewhere else" and with everything going on around here it's an easy call for Max.
I might be inclined to wager that Dad said "OK" and Mom was against.

Maybe new OC has been decided on. Maybe Kelly sat down with Max and told him his choice. New OC may run an offense that depends in a mobile QB.

He's a pretty terrible runner imo.
This year, he wasn't a good runner. He barely ever ran, so it was mostly sacks. Peetz helped nothing there.
Last year he ran for close to 100 yards and 2 TDs in his two starts. He ran pretty well last year. Big difference. We didn't have Peetz then either though.
