I'm glad you're impressed, but do you have any idea what either of those mean? I can't move the goalpost in my first comment on the subject. And what strawman am I arguing with?

According to your logic Max Johnson is way better than Joe Burrow.

Now, THAT is a strawman.

I think he would like to run more but they don't let him, because of Brennan's injury. That makes him a two dimensional QB like last year. They turned him into a 1 dimensional QB now he's very predictable.

Your comment is irrelevant. Etling was at Purdue when he was a freshman so what does that have to do with QB production at LSU? You’re more worried about knighting for your hero and defending your incorrect opinion than you are with LSU winning. Typical Rantard

Another huge problem is that he is throwing off of his back foot.

Max is awful and he should not be playing in the SEC. Weak arm, cannot read a defense, plays scared, no pocket presence/ awareness, holds the ball too long, and extremely inaccurate. None of these characteristics will allow for success in the SEC. He has way too many flaws to improve enough to be considered "good". Nuss may not be any better, but he damn sure cannot be worse. Max has been useless, stagnant, and has turned the ball over too much.

True but the more he plays the worse he gets!

He looks worn down from a bunch of hits this year. If Nuss can take over for the last few games he could look good in the Spring with a little rest.

No doubt he has regressed. It's like he doesn't have a good feel for the game. He needs a better internal clock to get the ball out or get moving. He doesn't know when to run or waits to long and then it's to late. And this year his touch is off.

If Nuss takes that job, Max isn't getting it back.

come on, man.

Sure guys can improve, but most QBs are what they are, and show it pretty quickly.

He had a super star wide receiver that's out and several more out and in the 1 game Miss looks like he can fire a ball harder,& further. Too bad Myles got hurt

CJ Stroud, Bryce Young, and Caleb Williams are all in their first year and are all significantly better than Max Johnson.

What do those 3 have in common? Seasoned offensive minds conducting their offenses.

But I guess LSU fans are now back to employing the "we need a senior QB to have a good offense" excuse.

Not what I was saying. But you can't expect every QB to be good out of high school.

I think he's limited and refuses to get the ball out fast. he's got bad feet and throws off his back foot.

I'm not sure which one way you want to evaluate Quarterback play, but in the 4 years before Burrow got here we ranked 84th, 101st, 105th, and 116th in the nation in passing yards per game. In 2020 we were 15th and this year we are 39th. Better days are here on offense.

Maybe evaluate this group next year when 15+ players aren't injured, a coaching staff doesn't have it's bags packed, and Jaray Jenkins isn't being schemed as the number 1 receiving option.

So was the Oklahoma starting quarterback earlier in the year and he got replaced by a freshman. So was Tua who replaced a junior.
Your argument is fallacious.
